Derlin's the most powerful druid in all the land. unfortunately hes often far too drunk to safely negotiate with, so he lives a solitary life in the dead lands. well kinda, unless you count his decapitated test subje..i mean friends.

built for the EB heroica second year anniversary contest, yes the interior is part of the same build and it does fit in the 32x32 limit.

TKZH535 is one of two metrobuses based in the Ayia Napa area of Cyprus, it was originally F52XOF. I recall this bus went under a low bridge around 2003ish and it was converted to open top for citysightseeing...that in essence sealed its longevity and well the rest is history !

Here's a high resolution pano of Druid Arch. I took this with my little Sony RX100-iii, merging 39 shots into one equirectangular image with PTGUI Pro. I didn't get the bottom part to stitch, so I just put in something to fill the space. The original image has about 250 megapixels. I reduced the resolution here to 72 megapixels.

One Saturday morning in late June I decided to try out my new DSLR on one of the shaded streets in this beautiful area. If you click on the set to the right and run the SLIDESHOW in Full Screen Mode you can follow me up and down this street and get an idea of the architecture of the area.

"Druid Hills is an upper-class neighborhood east of Midtown, Atlanta, in DeKalb County, Georgia. The planned community was initially conceived by Joel Hurt, and developed with the effort of Atlanta's leading families, including Coca-Cola founder Asa Candler. It contains some of Atlanta's historic mansions from the late 19th and early 20th Century. Druid Hills includes the main campus of Emory University, which relocated to Atlanta in 1914. Ponce de Leon Avenue bi-sects the community.

Druid Hills was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and was one of his last commissions. A showpiece of the design was the string of parks along Ponce de Leon Avenue, designated as Druid Hills Parks and Parkways and listed on the National Register of Historic Places on April 11, 1975."

Some find it hard to believe that this magnificent urban neighborhood was conceived and executed as one of Atlanta’s first suburbs. Yet it remains today essentially unchanged and was recently described by the U.S. Department of the Interior to be "significant as the finest example of late 19th and early 20th century comprehensive planning and development in the Atlanta area, and one of the finest period suburbs in the Southeast."

There is a beautifully done Tour of Homes and Gardens each April during the peak bloomtime for the thousands of dogwoods and azaleas that fill the neighborhood. Here are some links:

The Druids Temple, situated near Ilton, about 4 miles west of Masham is a folly created by William Danby of nearby Swinton Hall in 1820. The structure sits deep within a private forest and includes a large stone table, a sheltered cave and an altar stone. The temple is approximately 100 feet long and 50 feet wide, with some of the stones standing over 10 feet high. William Danby (1752-1832) was made High Sheriff of Yorkshire in 1784. He created the temple to generate work for the local population who were paid 1 shilling a day. It is also thought to be a place for "non-natural" events to take place...

Wrapped in the mist's embrace, this forest holds secrets of a bygone era. Here, in the Druid's Domain, the trees are ancient storytellers, and the earth itself hums with an energy known only to the keepers of old truths.

The Swinton Druid's Temple is a modern folly, built in the 1820s on the orders of William Danby, the eccentric owner of the Swinton Estate. As an inventive solution to local unemployment, he decided to pay workers a shilling a day to prop up stones to create his own personal little Stonehenge.

Gyrin's Domain

The druid tower

No one knows exactly which powers Gyrin has. It's a secret the druids keep to themselfs. But what's sure, is that you shouldn't mess with a druid. Especially not with Gyrin. He houses in the most southern tower of Ondylion. No one can enter unless Gyrin opens the door, beacause it is made of solid ice.

In front of the tower, Chul Chorian is testing the catapults. So Ondylion is hopefully ready for any Elemental Creatures, although their powers are still unknown. But with the catapults and Gyrin's powers. Elemental creatures, Ondylion is ready!

Late afternoon sun illuminating Druid Peak.

Druid Peak, elevation 9,577 feet, is a dome mountain on the southern flank of the Absaroka Range in Yellowstone National Park. Dome mountains (Laccoliths) are formed by volcanic activity but rather than a lava eruption to the surface, laccoliths form when magma is injected between two layers of sedimentary rock, causing the overlying strata to bulge upwards forming the dome shape.

Druid Peak is notable for its role in the reintroduction of Wolves into Yellowstone. Rose Creek which flows west from the northern slope of Druid Peak was the site of one of the release pens for the January 1995 release of wolves, the pack to be known as the Rose Creek pack. In January 1996 a second release was made from pens on the slopes of Druid Peak. This pack became known as the Druid Pack.

I was passing Brimham Rocks and having never had a proper look around decided to call in. By the time I'd found my way to the top the sun was dropping fast behind distant thin cloud and so I had to grab a few frames quickly. I'm reasonably happy with the result but I think a less hasty visit might be in order to see if I can do better.
