A drop waiting to fall always carries an almost unbearable tension—one wants to give it a shake just to put it out of its misery!
Harold found my old Sony DSC-H3, so I grabbed a quick snap before the light faded entirely. Maybe tomorrow I'll try to get a few photos of this memorable snowfall before all the evidence fades away.
Yesterday we were out in short sleeves with mid-20s temperatures. Today it is cold and blustery with the threat of 10cm of snow overnight. Welcome to Winnipeg.
Another early attempt to capture drops of water falling from a kitchen faucet. Shot for the "Daily Shoot" #479. "Make a photograph that features water in one way or another today."

This one came out of a search for spheres for cwd202, the first image being a dripping tap, taken in close-up with flash. The second image was just there, a combination of the way the flash reflected off the water and a bubble-less area caused by the drips. I couldn't get over how much it looked like a dog, freaky or what?
I lightened the first image in photoshop elements with just one pass of the 'colour-variations' filter, the second image is un-touched.

On one of the motor trails in Gatlinburg is a place called the Land of a Thousand Drips. it's a periodical waterfall that shows up after a good rain.
My hubby and I were standing in the kitchen talking when I noticed a very small drop of water on the faucet catching the setting sunlight. Camera time! Who knew the kitchen sink could produce something so pretty and unique?
Light use of soulful action to add a touch of color.
