This will probably be the last shot from the Sigma 105 macro. It appears that Jessops cannot find another of these lenses to swap for the faulty one. Got a phone call on Monday to say that it's my camera that's at fault - it's incompatible with the lens, not the other way round. No Joe, I've tried the sigma lens before without problem. Try again.
May have to swap it for a Tamron 90mm. Anyone got any thoughts on that lens?

Yet another attempt to capture a droplet. This one is getting closer to the desired look. I think a transparent glass bowl, filled to the brim, might be the ticket. Flash makes it better!
Little April Shower - from Disney's Bambi:
Drip, drip, drop
Little April shower
Beating a tune
As you fall all around
Drip, drip, drop
Little April shower
What can compare
To your beautiful sound
Drip, drip, drop
When the sky is cloudy
Your pretty music
Can brighten the day
Drip, drip, drop
When the sun says howdy
You say goodbye right away
Drip, drip drop
Little April shower
Beating a tune
Ev'rywhere that you fall
Drip, drip drop
Little April shower
I'm getting wet
And I don't care at all
Drip, drop, drip, drop
I'll never be afraid
Of a good little
Gay little
April serenade
This song just got stuck in my head when I saw the mist hitting a pond at the Como Zoo Conservatory Fern Garden.

More from my film cameras. Once again the scanning is terrible, specks of dust and that. Had to mess around with the black parts of the photos to get rid of scan lines...*sigh*
Hope this doesn't put you off enjoying them though.
Today’s Daily Shoot assignment is:

It took me until the end of June to get my drip irrigation system up and running, but with all the rain we received in the beginning of June, I didn't really need it.
I have a main line running around the perimeter of the garden with soaker driplines running to each plant. The way the driplines work is there is a small hole every 6" or so that puts out about 1/2 gallon an hour.
In this picture you can see the dripline wraps around a tomato plant as well as a special breed of Marigold called the "Golden Guardian". These marigolds are apparently really good at zapping the bad nematodes in the soil that attack tomato plants. It's the first year I've used them as companion plants, and I have to say so far so good. I haven't used a single pesticide on the tomato plants and they are very healthy so far.
Cadi learned how to make "drip castles" from one of the girls we met at the beach.
Great Island Common, New Castle
The sun was shining, melting the snow on the roof and then freezing into some stellar ice cycles! See all the drip drip drips? :)
