Feels like winter has arrived.

The "shadow" effect for the anniversary cake was done with bittersweet chocolate ganache - I chilled the cake (I actually put it in the freezer for about 15 minutes) so that the warm ganache would set almost immediately and not completely coat the sides.

A drop rain hits a leaf and gently falls into water.

All the graphics are 100% vector so it is completely resizable. For any kind of ecard, website, project, screensaver or just for fun.

In the back of the railroad museum was this old water pump, which was rusty and leaking.

I took a bunch of pictures and liked this one was the most interesting.

Okay, I'm not at all enthralled with my first effort to freeze droplets in action. This is TONS harder than I thought it'd be. I was going for a perfect motion freeze, but couldn't quite pull it off as you can see with some of the blur.

Still, wanted to post it so I can go back and easily refer to it when I try again someday. And it's not like I've shamed my family honor with this, so.

In this case it was quite a while as lunchtime beckoned.

Drop Coffee asked me to help out at this weeks open cupping. Due to flu season we changed things around.

Instead of a regular cupping we brewed drip coffee in the built in porcelain/melitta filter drip bar and served the 12 people that came for the open cupping.

Also it was the perfect opportunity to try out some coffees on "the public" since Drop Coffee is exploring what to try next for its "house coffee" once the Fazendo Lagoa runs out.

Drip coffee

Decided to play with my food again tonight.

In my garden in the rain April 12, 2014

First evening back in my uni flat and I wat to keep the creative juices flowing. Normally this tap is a source of annoyance but this evening I saw it in a different light! Thats the beauty of having a camera :-)

This is a subtle because thousands apon millions on drops of water fall every day, and singley they don't make a huge amount difference, but when combined together they are a forced to be reconed with, and make a huge a differnec to everything that happens in our world.
