A road trip last Sunday found rjagnjic and I at McLeans Auto Wreckers just outside of Rockwood, ON. This place is an absolute gold mine of old cars, rust and colour. The day was overcast so we didn't have to fight with bright sunlight, everything was oozing with pure, clean colour and after an almost 7 hour shoot, we walked away feeling like we hadn't seen it all. (a trip back is in the works)
My friend Chris turned me onto this place...his shots are stunning, I'm interested to see what we overlapped considering the sheer size of the property. I'm talking at least 5 fields piled high with cars. :insert squeal here:
This drinking fountain (or bubbler, as we call them here in Boston) was dripping and this bird was catching each drop. On Redondo Beach.
I had the back door open hoping for a visitor while I was fixing some breakfast. I had the camera ready on the kitchen table and when this little one showed up for a drink of water I was ready.
A bathroom sink's faucet dripping. Drip... drip... drip...

Inspired by Nikonsnapper-see my contacts- and his cool drip photos. Mine aren't quite as good but it was fun to do!
A drip torch is an essential fire tool. The end of the torch is lit on fire and loop in the spout prevents fire from going up into the canister. Fuel for the drip torch is of a mix of diesel and gasoline.

About a week ago it was really cold and I looked out my kitchen window and there were a number of icicles. Then a day or two later they all started slowly melting.
I took a photo of this tap dripping years ago. I wonder how much water has dripped out?
Wow, thanks to everyone for stopping by and for all the flickr love! This was my first non-iPhone (real) shot in a long time so explore was completely unexpected.

Shot at f/1.4, flash bounced off a reflector at minimal power, camera right. This is my first experiment with FP (flocal plane) mode on my flash. FP mode allowed me to shoot at 1/2000th of a second. At this speed, my kitchen light, which was on at the time, went completely black.
I got my new Snap Shot II strobe light the other day. It's a great big thing, made for DJ's light systems. It makes a pretty good photo strobe, though. Nice and short but very intense flashes, up to 15 a second, and it can be controlled by my MAKE: Magazine strobe controller.
