Our heavy snow pack this winter was too much for this old barn.

The river Dart at Totnes..

From Wiki

"Totnes has a long recorded history, dating back to 907AD when its first castle was built; it was already an important market town by the 12th century. Indications of its former wealth and importance are given by the number of merchants' houses built in the 16th and 17th centuries."

More of the Friday night outing....

Now at this point, shining the big light at the red barns we could finally see what was making all the noise @ 1am in the morning.......3 crows were laying flat on the slant of the red barns roof, trying to sleep. They kept fluttering their wings and making little "bird" noises......which from any other angle we couldn't see. So walking down this road with weird noises in the night was at first pretty creepy. :0) Silly me!

One for the disbelievers out there, poor quality image but evidence of what this remarkable bird can manage to swallow.

Possibly zero access to Flickr (hopefully not!) I will be away soon, off to Snowdonia with my lovely sister Margaret. I won't be on much at all from Sunday 14th July for a few days. I hope to have time to show you a few photos from there in future, if I manage any good ones !

This was taken in Plantsbrook Nature Reserve - not Wales - at the very end of May. Amazing to think how lovely the weather was then, how much rain we've had since - and now it's 'changeable'. That's the UK for you - 'changeable' in most ways !

Take care of yourselves and have a lovely time everyone !

And for no reason at all, apart from the fact I love Joan Armatrading and this song, here is some music for you.

Shed duties at Loughborough TMD on the Great Central Railway.

Almost back at the car now after having great fun descending on the bike back down Glen Tanar. Trout Loch near the Tanar Estate Office is rather beautiful and offers some great reflections among the trees.

Mount Keen is the most Easterly of all the Munros and although it is the closest to where I live, although I've climbed 10 others before climbing this, my 11th Munro. It stands at 939 Meters (3080 feet) and forms an almost perfect cone in its prominence. I made the ascent from Glen Tanar, cycling 6 miles in by bike (with an ascent of 210 meters / 689 feet), taking about 1.5 hours. This left me a final climb of just over 2 miles, with an ascent of 549 Meters (1801 feet), which I did surprisingly quickly (for me) at not much more than an hour. Including stops the whole trip was just over 4.5 hours, not bad for a 50 year old covering 16 miles of tough ground.

Route 66

In Inverness city centre

Rain pours down over a city

Night has fallen like a stone

Are you gone or are you with me?

In my heart I'll never know

If I close my eyes I'll see you

Hear your footsteps in the rain

In my dream I'll never find you

but I'll hear you call my name

As I tread through crowds of people

Trying to keep from looking back

Got your sense on something passing

And it sends me off my track

Do I find you will I follow

To forever and a day

I can feel you in the distance

But you seem so far away

What if I just can't find my way back home (ooh)

What about all the things I just don't don't know (ooh)

What if I just can't find my way back home (ooh)

Would you be there to show me where to go (ooh)

A street in down town Toronto! I’m glad I do not live in this wonderful (but very busy) city! Have a wonderful day.

Taken the other day at the Rogue River rest stop in Oregon. Fall is winding down, too soon.

I found this little spider hanging upside-down waiting for prey. Amazing that they can hold this position for so long! I can't ;-))

Enjoy your day ;-))
