Metropolitan Line A60 Stock DM 5103 built by Cravens of Sheffield, is seen on the traverser within the confines of London Transports Acton Works, on the occasion of the Open Day.
The A60 & A62 Stock lasted in passenger service till September 2012, when replaced by the new S Stock built by Bombardier at Derby.
The A Stock originally comprised of 468 cars and were unique for London Underground as they were the only trains fitted with luggage racks with umbrella hooks.

DM&E 6082 is just getting under way leaving Bensenville yard, with an eastbound train. Built in November 1966, this is the former CP SD40 #5525.

After I'd finished the page, it drives me crazy I didn't correct it to read "Live simply", NOT "Live simple". .... and therein lies the difference between mixed media journaling and digital journaling! lol
NIGHT VISITOR I believe this is a tufted titmouse - photo taken by a friend and extracted to perch on my "fence". I love Arms' s uncluttered style, which allows his beautiful creatures of nature to stand out.
At this time route 16 was run with crew operated DMs although the first Ms were appearing. This view shows the overall roof of the bus station.
