DMIR 402 and 409 hustle a northbound ID pellet train through Biwabik, MN with 116 cars to load at Minntac back on June 29, 2004. Searchlights were still over all the place on the former Missabe. It's the former Missabe as CN took over the property the month before.
Last month, CN finally took out of service the last of the searchlights on the Iron Range Sub. between Allen Jct. and Iron Junction, including these here at South Biwabik.
Both the 402 and 409 still work the former DMIR albeit in CN paint. CN has spent the time and money to put PTC on both tunnel motors so maybe they'll continue to roam northeast Minnesota for many or a few more years?
The D&NE 28 poses as DM&IR 332 at the Lake Superior Railroad Museum for a night photo session. The restored 2-8-0 (consolidation) locomotive was built in 1906 by the Pittsburgh Works of American Locomotive Company in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Een plaatje uit de oude doos. Ik vermoed dat het op de lijn Zwolle-Raalte is ergens in de buurt van Raalte. Als iemand het herkent op basis van zeer algemene kenmerken dan hoor ik het graag. Op de voorgrond een boerenhek, dus ik vermoed dat rechts een overweg is.
Dit treinstel rijdt nu vast in Polen of Roemenië.
Inmiddels is de locatie bekend, een bekende Sherlock heeft het gevonden. Het is in Raalte bij de overweg van de Schoonhetenseweg. De trein is dus onderweg van Zwolle naar Almelo.
