The eyeball in its mechanism. I cut a cross out of brass and shaped it (via lots of hammering into a wooden indentation mold) to fit around the eye. There are tabs on the top and bottom (hammered into a smooth stem for rotation purposes) that will go into tabs in the front of the shell, allowing rotation side to side. With luck, if this works, Clicky will be able to look both up and down AND side to side.
Oh My God! What kind of monster would stick wires through an eyeball?!?!? That'd be me. :) My translucent-Sculpey and teddybear-eye creation gets the first parts of the mechanism installed: side pivot points that will allow him to look up and down.

Christmas tree yard decoration made from an inverted fan trellis, a 100-bulb string of lights, zip ties, and a plant stake.
I sewed strings of sequins onto a t-shirt to form words. This is the back of the shirt, and the front says "lost." Tutorial here: transientexpression.wordpress.com/2009/10/13/sequin-shirt...
It doesnt look fantasic directly from the front bc of the cardboard.. but from the side its pretty awesome! This was an experiment next time I will use foam core.

This is what Darren made me for valentines day :)
My favorite tree was slightly damaged in Gustav & we're just now getting around to trimming the broken branch bc it was so high up & covered in pears/leaves at the time. Now that it's bare we can see what we're doing.
I wanted to get wood buttons from e*tsy but couldn't find quite what I wanted, so I figured might as well salvage the wood from the tree trimming.
Darren said they were really easy to make :D

These are the pieces of decorative paper. It was made by soaking in water a sheet of soft, long fiber paper, the texture was achieved by tooling the surface with various objects. It was then let dry and dyed with magenta ink, after another drying a dry-brush effect was added with cyan ink.
Teens created bottle cap magnets. These can be used on lockers, the fridge or worn as a necklace (attach a metal washer to a chord).
I drew the picture and expected the toddlers to glue on two googly eyes ($1 store purchase). When I turned around - voila. VERY scary :)
