Just some basic shots I liked (while playing @ native)

I tweaked in ReShade as much as I could, but couldn't remove the overall pink/red haze in a way that satisfied me, so I used Photoshop for color balance tweaks (originals here).
While waiting for the shot of a westbound I had my heart set on here I was served up a couple of eastbounds first. Using my wide angle lense I was able to accentuate wide sweep of the arches and the deep shadows cast beneath. To see the westbound I finally got check out this post: flic.kr/p/2k6eqiL
Train 20R-12 (intermodal Landers Yard, Chicago to Port Newark, NJ) sails east on Norfolk Southern's Pittsburgh Line (ex PRR Middle Division) near MP190. The train is crossing the nearly 700 ft long six arch stone bridge over the Juniata River dating from 1906.

An interesting scene panned out at Division Street in Saint Paul. The foreground train is a Union Pacific train that attempted and stalled trying to make the grade between Division Street and Westminster. Two GE motors on each end did not result in initial success. It occupied the track space for over and hour before finally backing into the Hoffman Yard. Meanwhile, a Canadian Pacific potash train passes on the adjacent mainline.
Happy Thanksgiving! Conway 252 and 255 are seen on the rear of a 470 Railroad Club special that ran between North Conway, Conway, and Fabyan's. Both the 252 and 255 are original Maine Central GP38s and are running on the former MEC Mountain Division. The train is running downgrade back to North Conway, and is photographed here just south of the Frankenstein Trestle.
Half a dozen TC&W Geeps lead the Saint Paul Turn across Division Street interlocking with a large train for the UP at South Saint Paul.
Lupines were in abundance this year due to heavier-than-normal rainfall. This left plenty of snow on the mountains. A golden hour image with lupine and snow-covered mountains was wortth the trip! Belated mother's day wishes to the moms which visit!

The Canadian 2nd Infantry Division liberated the several hunderd inhabitants that were still there on 12 April, 1945. The first soldiers to the camp were from the 8th Reconnaissance Regiment, followed by troops of the South Saskatchewan Regiment.
Following its use in World War II, the Westerbork camp was first used as a penalty camp for alleged and acussed Nazi collaborators and later housed Dutch nationals who fled the former Dutch East Indies (Indonesia). Between 1950-1970 the camp was renamed to Kamp Schattenberg and used to house refugees from the Maluku Islands.

Kalurghat Bridge is the first bridge in Karnaphuli River. Kalurghat Bridge an old bridge, once the only link between the southern region of chittagong division on the bank of the river karnafuli with the rest of the country. This 239m long bridge was installed as a simple rail bridge of steel structure between Janalihut and Gomdandi railway stations in 1930. The bridge was commissioned for operation of trains in Chittagong-Dohazari section in the year 1931. Thirty-one years after its inauguration, considering the suffering of the people it was modified with decking and carpeting and turned into a rail and road-bridge in 1962.

The M4 Sherman proved to be reliable, relatively cheap to produce, and available in great numbers. You know, I take photos for a whole lot of reasons, and sometimes it's just the colour, or shape, or whatever... but I'm as fond of the back story as anyone else...
This is a volleyball court in Mengwi, inland a bit from where we live. I managed to find out some more info, and the court was repainted in 2018. Things wear out fast here, so I'm aware the paint job looks a little older.
The idea was to make the court more appealing for spectators, and so everyone could feel some ownership.
The whole setup is just on the side of the road, and when I stopped there it was entirely deserted, aside from a few fishermen who were just returning from the nearby stream, most upset by the lack of a catch, but clearly proud to show off their facilities.
I always like to ask if it's okay for me to go in and take some photos, and they were quick to make me feel welcome. That's one of the wonderful things about Bali.
Members of the 29th Division Association, including veterans of WWII, visit Soldiers of the Fort Belvoir-based 29th Infantry Division on Annual Training at Fort A.P. Hill July 18. Divisionism was born in Milan, on the same premise as the French Neo-Impressionnisme, better known as Pointillisme, without however being able to speak of direct influence. It starts from the idea that the study of optical treatises, which have revolutionized the concept of color, should determine the technique of the modern painter. It develops in Northern Italy, thanks above all to the support of Vittore Grubicy de Dragon, art dealer, critic, publicist and in turn painter, who with his brother Alberto has been managing an art gallery in Milan since 1876. Vittore spreads the principle of replacing the chemical mixture of colors traditionally obtained on the palette among the painters in his stable, with a direct approach to the combination of complementary tones on the canvas. From chemical data, the color becomes an optical phenomenon and at the necessary distance the viewer's eye can recompose the detached brush strokes in a tonal synthesis, perceiving a greater brightness in the painting.
