I felt that I might be discovered that he was not alone. Sometimes I wish that I could use completely silent camera, but maybe this time not so much, because without that gaze, this image would be pretty boring. I think.

Bagan formerly Pagan is an ancient city from the 9th to 13th centuries,. The city was the capital of Myanmar. Bagan is one of Myanmar’s main attractions. It was the capital of Bagan empire, where Theravada Buddhism was the main religion. The area also known as the Bagan Archaeological Zone, occupies an impressive 26-sq-mile area. Marco Polo described Bagan as one of the finest sights in the world. Despite centuries of neglect, looting, erosion, regular earthquakes, not to mention questionable restoration, this temple-studded plain remains a remarkably impressive and unforgettable vision. Bagan’s kings commissioned more than 4000 Buddhist temples. During our visit to Bagan, we rented a bicycle and were allowed to drive along any Buddhist temple. The Ywa Huang Gyi temple is one of the most underrated in Bagan. Not listed as a must-see in the guides and not highlighted on the tourist maps, the Ywa Huang Gyi temple is beautiful yet understated. The temple is welcoming with only a low wall surrounding it and no gateways or outer staircases. When we stopped by in the late afternoon, there were no people visiting. It was quiet and peaceful. Just the building and the its grassy backdrop.

We visit Ywa Huang Gyi in Bagan. It's is one of the most underrated temple in Bagan. Located northeast of Old Bagan in the Nyaung-U part of the city, I found the red-bricked sanctuary as were cyling casually along Anawrahta Road and we went off the road. Photo of BieJee, Samantha and Kanitha cycling towards Ywa Huang Gyi temple.

We fietsen langs alle bijzondere boeddhistische tempels in Bagan.

Alpine plants have fascinated me since i was a teenager. The photo was taken in 1993 on some high pass in Colorado or Wyoming, probably a well-known viewpoint. Not far from the car park because we just wanted to stretch our legs. It was a rocky spot exposed to the weather with a good view. I was of course totally delighted when i discovered these bright blue flower pads.

Hi Folks,

I just published a new imaging project on my website.

Messier 101 - The Pinwheel Galaxy with the recently discovered supernova - SN2023ixf!

This target is located 21 Million light-years away in the constellation of Ursa Major.

This was about a 3-hour exposure in LRGB using my widefield Askar FRA400 Platform.

Everybody and their brother seems out there shooting images of this galaxy with its supernova.

And who's to blame them? Supernovae are amazing events. At the end of its life, a star explodes, releasing as much energy in one second as our Sun will emit in its entire lifetime!

This does not happen every day, and to have one in a galaxy as beautiful as the Pinwheel is worth shooting.

But with so many images of this out there - why should I shoot it tool. Do I think I can do better than everyone else? Hardly!

This is such a cool event that I did want to have one captured in my portfolio.

But during my last imaging session, my widefield Askar FRA400 Platform was the only scope that was untasked. During galaxy season, there are relatively few large targets to shoot. So I pointed it at M101 and decided to go for it!

My expectations were very low, though:

- A widefield scope shooting a galaxy - that will be a problem!

- I was only able to get 3 hours of integration - my last shot of M101 had 11 hours - so that's going to be a problem

- I am shooting with some thin smoke from the Alberta Wildfires in the air - that IS a problem.

So why shoot it at all?

- Supernovae are one the coolest events in our night sky - I wanted to capture an image of that - even a poor one!

- I saw this as an opportunity to dive into what supernovae were all about and describe that in my web write-up

- I have the twisted part of my personality that likes the challenge of getting a better image out of compromised data

I drizzle processed, then cropped like mad, and took advantage of BlurXTerminator and NoiseXTerninaor to help improve a dicey image.

The final result is not wonderful, but it is not horrible either!

The full story of this imaging project, and some cool info on supernovae, can be found here:

And when you see it, you understand why: its undulating wooden façade is instantly evocative of modernism. The green, ocre and red of its sign make it unforgettable. As the USR consolidated its disjointed military in 1990, Zuritanian army officers discovered that most of their new countrymen had little experience with armored warfare. The Brohemian cavalry continue to insist on horseback patrols, and the Monsar officers were found huddled in a back room muttering something about SPAAGs. The Zuritanians quickly realized they would need a great number of additional tanks to equip future armored divisions. The Leopard 2A4 was showing its age, and the 2A6, while well-protected, had proven too expensive to properly deploy. The decision was made, after much roasting from a visiting South Yafrani officer, to begin work on a brand-new tank.

The 3A1 has similar speed to the Leopards, and like the Leopards incorporates blow-out panels to protect the crew from an ammunition cook-off. Its gun uses the same 120mm ammunition as the Leopards, but is an improved design with better performance. Optics are a downgrade, and its armor sits between the 2A4 and 2A6 in thickness. ERA tiles or infrared dazzlers are expected to improve the 3A1's capabilities, if needed.

The tank uses a gas turbine engine, which produces a loud and distinctive whistle and guzzles fuel like no tomorrow. Despite the size of the turret, some less than ergonomic choices have left the crew without much elbow room. Their gear, extra supplies, boombox, and a water cooler are all stored on a bustle rack behind the turret.

My turret design came from this suspiciously cheap Chinese knockoff Abrams. I suspect it's a fan moc that they stole the pictures from, but I can't seem to find the original to give proper credit. Ripperoni. (Amusingly, all the minifigs in this kit look to have "bad-guy" faces.) I guess the model actually exists though...

Andalusia is located in southern Spain and covers an area of 8 provinces. Andalusia is the second largest autonomous region in Spain. Beautiful Andalucía, the land of olives, oranges, sunflowers, beautiful mountain ranges and valleys, nice white mountain villages with beautiful squares, is a bridge between two continents, Africa and Europe, and is the point where the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea meet. There is something for everyone in Andalusia, from culture to beautiful terraces, sights, long beaches, beautiful inland areas with beautiful reservoirs, mountains and nice villages to visit. The El Chorro Gorge is a beautiful place near Peñarrubia, with gigantic cliffs as high as 400 meters with a length of 3 kilometers. The Caminito del Rey was built around 1900 and was used to transport people and material between two factories that were on both sides of the El Chorro gorge. However, it took many years before the path was officially opened. The path hangs along the edges of the entire gorge. The total distance of the new Caminito del Rey is 7.7 kilometers. A beautiful walking tour that you have to book in advance online. The prehistoric Necropolis of Aguilillas above on the photo was discovered in the late 1980s. Seven graves have been carved into different rocks. About fifty people were buried between the years 2,100 and 1,900 before our era. Bones were found In the funerals, along with ceramic pottery, flint knives and personal ornaments (necklaces). A series of objects was also discovered with female idols in stone.

After the long and narrow Largo tunnel Kanitha continues her path to the start of the Caminito del Rey trail. On our way we are passing the prehistoric Necropolis of Aguilillas. Whether you come to El Chorro for the Caminito or not, this beautiful area is worth a visit in itself. You are in direct contact with nature and you can forget the world. Because the path is relatively easy to walk, it does not only attract active people or adventurers, but also people with an interest in historical stories. The total distance of the new Caminito del Rey is 7.7 kilometers. Buses will bring you back to the starting point.
