I was tempted to draw in pit hair, because every time I read Red Sonja comics, I think, "like this badass would give two shits about waxing."

Sometimes it is not about a close-up but about where you were at the time.

It is no secret that I love dirt roads,
It is no secret that I love snow covered mountains.
It is no secret that I love wildflowers.
This was a dirt road I don't think we had been on before in Copper Basin.
Taken the last ride in the Maverick.
Soon after this the Maverick trip meter for Copper Basin adventures rolled over to 600 miles..
Dirt Road Diary Entry: Sunday, July 16, 2017; 6:21pm; Las Vegas, NV. #Throwback
“Mojave Desert Monsoon Chasing — Drove into & out of a storm that clipped the SW corner of the Vegas valley; silty water flowed like chocolate milk down the washes; a few loud crackles of thunder shook the Earth as colossal rain drops filled the paved streets of the concrete jungle; and, just a handful of miles to the West of the storm, down a desolate dirt road through the desert, the evening sunlight danced with the bands of rain, casting a vibrant display of diamond dust in the distance. Dirt road gold. Different perspectives to every storm — Beauty exists always, never stop seeking. Much big gratitude. Today was a good day.”

This is Heather Ward, AKA Dirt. She is, simply put, the best natural light photographer I know. I want to learn from her.

I wanted to pop in to say Hi but I've disabled the comments again since I'm not doing much commenting myself. I'm working longer hours, a book I need to read for book group is taking much longer to slog through than I anticipated and Trump is keeping me glued to the news in my spare time.

We were heading to Pocatello on the paved road. We even washed the SUV. It wasn't supposed to be a dirt road day. About halfway there we got a phone call cancelling our plans.
Already on the road we changed plans for a dirt road adventure.
On the way back home on the paved rd Lynette sees a road off in the distance we hadn't been on for quite some time.
Soon back on a dirt road headed for Grace ID. The drive seemed longer than we had remembered. Eventually we could see Gem Valley below. When we almost to the valley floor we see another old house. Then we realized we were not where we thought we were coming out at. The house looked very familiar.
We then realize we were at Beaver Dam( Thatcher Id ) We had just been there last week.
