A wall of rain moves toward me and I was hoping for some lightning. My sensor was not working and I missed all of the puny strikes. So far I have ZERO pictures of lightning from this monsoon.
The original photo was of a boatload of people heading out of the harbor. The Dire Straits song that I have been listening to recently inspired both the title and the Image. Photoleap was used to create it.
We are living in dire straits at the moment, as we all know.
When a troll does the unthinkable - eating its own kind - it soon mutates, the other devoured trolls growing within and sprouting from its body as its natural regeneration goes into overdrive, transforming it into an insane nearly-immortal abomination!
The Dire Wolf is the result of the Mistarille Dawn's need for a frame to round out its force and find a balance between the standard M9E "Gernsback" frame and the heavy ST-X9 "Behemoth".
The MX-18 is built for high mobility and devastating firepower at direct fire or artillery ranges, forgoing any sort of melee loadout, instead leaving that to other frame in the Mistarille Dawn's armory. It accomplishes this through a pair of twin Particle Projection Cannons fitted in place of arms, and a multi-target Long Range Missle array.
Best supported by frames with spotting systems, the Dire Wolf punishes any foe foolish enough to enter its effective range.

Locomotiva di coda...
Railways in Sardinia appear to fall into two brackets, the standard gauge lines operated by a division of the mainland Italian national railway company and then there's ARST, or FdS (Ferrovia del Sardegna) who operate the rump of the former narrow gauge (950mm) systems... the latter (ARST) operate many of the island's inter regional bus and coach services too.
Based on what might be a simplification of things and purely from my observations made last week in the north of the island, only the narrow gauge line (recently re-laid) from the second city of Sassari to the port and resort town of Alghero appears to flourish and see any real traffic levels. However, whilst the trackwork may now be excellent and able to see some fast running, the rolling stock is visually dire in direct contrast to the operator's immaculate road coaches. One has to wonder why the railway is allowed to convey such a down at heel appearance when to spruce things up would take comparatively little effort. Judge for yourselves, would you be enamoured if this mobile ghetto turned up to take you on your journey?
