We were cruising on the Carnival Legend for the Ships and Dip cruise, a 5 day & 4 night cruise with my favourite band, Barenaked Ladies.

This photo marks the official start of the cruise experience! As the passengers exited the last of the check-in and security areas and headed to the embarkation ramp there was an area set aside where each cabin load of people could get their photo taken with the band. It was a nice surprise and a great experience (I only wish I had the nerve to say more than a quick "hello!"). Pardon the quality - it's a photo of the photo. I'll put up a better quality image if I can get a hold of a good quality scan.

One of my very favorite desserts in the entire world is the cherry dipped cone from Dairy Queen. Valparaiso redeems itself!

These are dutch strawberries dipped in chocolate and they were soooo good!
