Difficult shooting conditions - low low light, strong backlighting from 3 out of four sides. As they passed the aisle, Jim suddenly dipped her, and I fired off only two quick shots, hoping I got it!
Artichoke Dip - This is not your every-other-mayo & cheese-artichoke-dip. It's warm, tangy and packed with flavor. And, with only 5 grams of fat, it truly is guilt free.
The Future by Miranda July, Italian premiere at cinema Giorgione in Venezia, organized by Metricubi. We arranged a cozy lucky dip celebrating the event (12 April 2012)
A group of Canada geese going for a dip over a pond in the winter. The pond had largely frozen over, but a recent warm spell of weather had caused some of the ice to melt, exposing the frigid liquid water underneath. On the left and in the background, you can see where the ice is still frozen.
First attempt at using a dip pen for sketching. Hardly perfect but a promising beginning and I'd love to know what you think of it.
Not sure what's in this. I'm not in charge of making the dipping sauce. For those of you not familiar with hotpot restaurants, you create your own dipping sauce from a selection of ingredients, including: soy sauce, sesame oil, shacha sauce, vinegar, cilantro, scallions, raw eggs, grated daikon radish, and others (varies by restaurant).
The Sangam dip experience was a bit surreal (and an indescribable experience). You are at the confluence of 3 rivers (2 actual and a 3rd purportedly mythical ā the Saraswati) that have a deep civilizational and mythological meaning to us. These rivers have flowed on for centuries and seen the rise and fall of empires. These rivers have nourished life (of the agrarian civilizations of the North) for millennia. They have accepted the ashes and bodies of transmigrating souls for millennia. Like the rivers that flow into the unity of the ocean, here I was trying to perceive a cosmic unity that exists above my physical manifestation ā sometimes seeing this clearly, at most other times being pulled back to what we are ā seeing people and things as merely shapes, sizes, colors, and differences. It was a sensory rush that I am still deciphering!

Hannah trying her hand at pond dipping at Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust's Nind Nature Reserve near Kingswood in Gloucestershire.
The reserve is a miniature wetland on the site of a former trout farm, and a haven for all manner of wildlife, including the water vole.
A young lady dips strawberries into chocolate in Brugge. Belgium is famous for a few things and chocolate is high on the list. In the window reflection, you can see the Markt, at the heart of Brugge.
