a friend gifted me two big skeins of grey wool, so i knit up a simple seed stitch cowl until the yarn ran out. then i decided to dip dye half of it in some logwood.
GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN--This is another vintage bench from China which we have given the "dip" treatment--actually achieved with sanding and paining, but let's just imagine Cheu and Belle have vats of roiling paint and Oompa Loompas to dip the benches into the paint. It's more fun for everyone like that. Except for the Oompa Loompas themselves whom, you will discover with dismay upon re-reading your "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", have been kidnapped from Polynesia by Willy Wonka and are being kept as slaves paid in chocolate. COLONIALISM, EVERYBODY!!!
Healthy Pumpkin Dip with Spiced Apples
3/4 cup (6 ounces) 1/3-less-fat cream cheese
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
2 teaspoons maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2-3 large apples (I prefer Honeycrisp)
3 tbs lemon juice
1/8 cup lite whipped topping
★ Place cream cheese, brown sugar, and pumpkin in a mixing bowl, and beat with a mixer at medium speed until well blended. Add syrup and cinnamon, and beat until smooth.
★ Garnish with whipped topping and a sprinkle of cinnamon (an little dash of nutmeg is nice too if you choose).
★ Cover and chill 30 minutes.
★ Core and slice apples. Drizzle with lemon juice to keep slices fresh (this won't affect the flavor of the apples). Sprinkle a layer of cinnamon onto the apple slices.
★ Arrange on a pretty dish and you're good to go!

I have passed up zillions of chip and dip bowls but this one was amazing , it had the box too(even though I do not like the writing on the box!!)
* 2 cans of bean dip (10 1/2 ounce cans)
* 3 avocados
* 2 tablespoons of lime or lemon juice
* 1/4 teaspoon of salt
* 1/8 teaspoon of pepper
* 1 cup of sour cream
* 1/2 cup of mayonnaise
* 1 packet/envelope of taco seasoning mix
* 1 cup of green onions - chopped
* 2 1/3 ounces of canned sliced black olives
* 2 medium tomatoes
* 8 ounces of cheddar cheese
* 1 package of tortilla chips
Layer in a 9x13x2 inch serving dish:
Layer One:

Spread in dish the 2 cans of bean dip
Layer Two:
*
Peel, core and mash 3 avocados.
*
Add 2 tablespoons of lime or lemon juice, 1/4 teaspoon salt & 1/8 teaspoon pepper.

Mix together and spread over the beans.
Layer 3:

Mix together 1 cup sour cream, 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1 packet of taco seasoning mix

Spread the sour cream mixture over the avocados.
Layer 4:

Sprinkle over the sour cream mixture 1 Cup chopped green onion
Layer 5:

Drain and sprinkle over the onions a 2-1/4 ounce can of sliced black olives
Layer 6:

Seed, and dice and sprinkle over the olives 2 Medium tomatoes
Layer 7:

Grate and sprinkle over the tomatoes 8 ounces of cheddar cheese
Serve with lots of Tortilla Chips!
