roasted peach with basil and hazelnut:
easy!
cut the peaches in two, remove the pit, sprinkle with fresh basil, cruched hazelnut and a little bit of rapadura sugar (or any sugar), and oven bake for 15-20 minutes
Beet and tofu dip:
just mix together some tofu and beetroot with a pinch of cumin powder and... voilà!

Spinach dip that looks much better than it tastes. I think they were lacking salt and some other minor ingredients. I do like the table cloth though (haven't been able to find one like it in China yet)

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN - We took this vintage Chinese bench and gave it a major style upgrade. We turned it head over heels and dipped it in darling Tiffany blue paint! What was prosaic has become sheer poetry.

06/09/08 Today we went to the Taprock Northwest Grill again. Scott had the Prime Rib Dip (slices of slow-roasted prime rib on a grilled French roll. With au jus. 10.99) He thought it was just alright and in comparison with a typical "Sharis" restaurant experience. Although, the service was great!

Alasya is a nice Turkish bakery restaurant where they make their own breads i nthe woodfire oven.
The attraction for us is a full page of dips accompanied by their photos, but you could equally be mesmerised by the oodles of doner kebabs and grilled meats! Best of all, the bread is fantastic, elastically chewy and light, and, it's as much as you can eat for AUD3.50 per head!
Not only is Alasya a restaurant, they also have a cake shop and butcher nearby.

Black bean dip is a nice change from the usual chips and salsa, perfect as an appetizer or just for snacking. You can reduce the amount of vinegar to suit your taste, but I think it gives it a great overall flavor. This dip is also good to serve at tailgate parties.
Served with tortilla chips on Fiesta dinnerware.

My first attempt at dipped fondant.....its a bit see-through but I think that's down to the fondant I used. Had fun trying it though!
It is very hard (for me at least) to desolder chips from boards with metallised holes. If you can cut off the DIP chip, it can be transformed into a SOJ-style package by bending the leads and then soldered onto strip-board for easy prototyping.
