The Town Hall is located in the square of San Juan de Dios. The first phase was built in the Neoclassic style by the architect Benjumeda in 1799 and the second phase was in the Isabelline style by the architect Garcia del Alamo in 1861.

Cadiz is a city of myth and legend. It is essentially the oldest continuously-inhabited city in Europe. It is the capital of the Cadiz Province, one of eight which make up the autonomous community of Andalusia.
The city was originally founded 3000 years ago, in 1100BC, as Gadir (which means "walled city") by the Phoenicians, who used it as a trading post for various commodities like tin, silver and Amber.
Later, the Greeks knew the city as Gadira or Gadeira. According to Greek legend, Gadir was supposedly founded by Hercules after performing his fabled tenth labor, the slaying of Geryon, a monstrous warrior-titan with three heads and three torsos joined to a single pair of legs. As late as the early 3rd century, a tumulus (a large earthen mound) near Cádiz was associated with Geryon's final resting-place.
Around 500 BC, the city fell under the sway of Carthage. Cadiz became a base of operations for Hannibal’s conquest of southern Iberia.
In 206 BC, the city fell to Roman forces. The people of Cadiz welcomed the victors. Under the Romans, the city's Greek name was modified to Gades and it was used as a Roman naval base. It was the principal city of the Roman colonies. However, with the decline of the Roman Empire, Gades's commercial importance began to fade.
The overthrow of the Romans by the Visigoths in 410AD saw the destruction of the original city, of which there remain few remnants today.
The city was later re-conquered by Justinian in 550AD as a part of the Byzantine province of Spania. It would remain Byzantine until a re-conquest in 572AD, and returned to the Visigoth Kingdom.
Under Moorish rule, between 711 and 1262AD, the city was called Qādis which is Arabic, from which the modern Spanish name, Cádiz, was derived. The Moors were finally ousted by Alphonso X of Castile in 1262.

He drove 3 hours to go pick him up but it was worth it! We named him Dio after rock music icon Ronnie James Dio =) He is a Australian/German Shepard mix and is only 4 months old. I have never had my own dog or puppy so I am very excited!

Elena Andujar es una gran artista y persona. Dio clases en Nueva York por tres semanas a fines del 2006. Elena es alegre, simpatica, sonriente, y muy buena profesora de baile. Buena porque se fija en sus estudiantes individualmente. Cada quien recibe un consejo diferente de ella, pues cada persona necesita mejorar sus propias cosas. Sus clases son muy especiales, porque canta. Y oirla cantar es estar en la gloria. Te inspira a bailar mejor. Ya se ha destacado como cantaora y tiene su propio CD

Me fascinaria ver a Elena bailar en un escenario porque ha de ser una experiencia fenomenal. Sea en la clase o en lo particular, es una mujer que llama la atencion y de una manera muy natural. No me imagino como sera en una actuacion. Cuando estaba tomando estas fotos, me di cuenta que esta mujer es flamenca de pies a cabeza, de cuerpo y alma. Tiene un aire impresionante, aun cuando no esta bailando. La manera en que se para, que camina, las muecas de su cara, el uso de sus manos expresivas....todo movimiento de ella es muy flamenco, como si estuviera en un espectaculo, pero en realidad solo esta hablando. Es increible observarla. Al tomarle estas fotos la cancion de Remedios Amaya, "Dos Toreros" recorria en mi mente
"Aire, que lo da la tierra, que nace del alma, como dulce fiera"
Siempre recordare a Elena cuando oiga esta cancion, porque su aire le brota desde muy adentro del corazon.

"To whom now find it"
Sry to you thats gonna read this, i know its alot of days whit out any info, but i just havent gotten any time since the episode whit the things. after the things where gone i when out side looking for any ammo and food the only thing i found was what i belive was onze that soldier or merc's gun, after that i think i saw one of the things and i just startet running, after seeing what was happend to that other guy i diddent what to get close whit that. i thing after 2 days i found some food but i thing a "thing" Saw me so i startet running agian and after i gues 5-6 days of running hiding and look for more food and ammo i got on the other side on the city, i found a house i gues i was once but it was good for shelter, i took some tree some the other side og the road and made me a fire. after some time i heard a brumming noise and after some time the noise of a break and then a guy just startet shouting "jimmy is that you?" i diddent know what to do, the man shourtet agian "Ey!? Jimme Answer", i grapt my M4 whent for the entrence. when i got out a saw a guy whit a fanzy hat and another guy on a jeep hevry armed, the guy whit the fanzy hat was a guy from a group of survivos from a army base but some of the other soldiers was turnt in the What they calld "Whites" after talking whit him he said they where out looking for one of there men "Jimmy" and a said a had seen him but hes was one more. the army guy Whit the Baret name was James O'Donnel Or "Hounddog" and the other guy was Frankie Jackson or "Hevry FJ" i asked Hound or James if i could stick whit them and follow then, he said that i could and they where heading for a place up state.

El Vicepresidente de la República, Rodrigo Peñailillo, dio a conocer un conjunto de medidas inmediatas para ir en ayuda de las comunas de La Ligua, Petorca y Cabildo afectadas por la sequía. A estos municipios la autoridad confirmó que “agregaremos a las comunas de Papudo y Zapallar”.
En la actividad realizada en la explanada del Centro Cívico Municipal de La Ligua, y que contó con la presencia de los alcaldes de las cinco comunas de la provincia, parlamentarios, autoridades regionales, provinciales y locales, además de dirigentes sociales y comunitarios, el secretario de Estado reafirmó la preocupación del Gobierno frente a “una situación de sequía que se arrastra desde hace mucho tiempo”, respecto a lo cual señaló que “atendiendo esta situación que se vive en muchos lugares del país, recientemente la Presidenta anunció un Plan de Emergencia de más de 45 mil millones de pesos, que invertiremos este año en distintas regiones”.
Al respecto, la autoridad explicó que “se trata de un plan como lo amerita la situación que estamos viviendo y que tiene con graves problemas de abastecimiento de agua a miles de familias. De esos 45 mil millones, casi 10 mil millones están destinados a la Región de Valparaíso para ser invertidos ahora, en estos últimos meses del año”.
Y dio sus últimos pasos en la tierra, sabia que vendría algo mejor, sabia que en un futuro no muy lejano vería brillar un resplandor de paz, un resplandor de nueva esperanza de nuevas cosas que llenarían su vida, cerro los ojos, una onda casi desintegradora lo rodeo, dejo que cada partícula de su cuerpo se fuera, se libero.
Por fin después de todo lo que le toco vivir logro desligarse de todo y volverse casi un ser celestial, el lo sabia LO SENTÍA. cada briza cada, gota de agua lo anunciaba, una nueva visión se apoderaría de sus ojos, una visión de prosperidad. Donde todos los errores cometidos por el hombre habían sido corregidos; especialmente los de él.
Por que sí.. su vida se había convertido en una cadena de errores, cada acto, cada paso que daba se estaba volviendo un error, errores que lo marcarían de porvida y que cuando quisiera escapar de estos como cadenas lo atraparían y no lo dejarían libre no lo dejarían escapar de lo que había construido, de lo que una vida de errores logra.
Pero ya todo había pasado... solo tenia que dejarse llevar, dejar que todo vuelva a crecer que todo comience de cero. como si ni un rastro hubiera pasado por ahí. Hacer borrón y cuenta nueva, hacer como si un renacer que lo haría mas fuerte mas sabio.
