The DB Museum in Koblenz was opened on 21 April 2001 as the first remote site of the Nuremberg Transport Museum. The museum's collection of vehicles includes more than 40 locomotives and wagons. The central themes of the exhibitions are electric trains and travelling by rail. In addition to the exhibits of actual vehicles, these themes are expanded by means of photographs, pictures and models in the museum rooms.

When in Rome as they say... It feels a little strange to be building in DB red and black, but that's what got me back into Lego 10 years ago or so. Germans being such prolific train builders, it was hard to find one that hasn't been done that still interests me. The 65.10 didn't return many hits, but it's an old DDR loco that still exists albeit not in daily service. There are some obvious problems with 'parts that don't come in those colors' with this WIP, but that will get sorted out come building time. What's worse is this render has no couplers at all front or rear. That could be a problem. Maybe I'll have it built before my next trip to Hamburg.

In order to take this photo, I turned the dial on top of my camera to shutter priory mode, changed the shutter speed so it was slower and then placed my camera on the fence in order to reduce movement.
