This series of resin pendants were inspired by a sheet of reproductions of vintage matchbook cover art. I thought it would be really cute to pair the matchbooks with actual matches and embed them into resin
They are made from brass with Ice Resin and various found objects, brass components, bits of paper, match sticks, and glass beads. The resin is crystal clear, and very reflective, and amplifies the collage inside the brass pendant with amazing detail. Unfortunately, they are so reflective, they are a bit hard for me to photograph, but I love each one dearly!
This pendant was made from a raw brass frame pendant, which was heated with flame to give it interesting coloration. Some of the pendants in this series were also hand domed with a hammer and dapping block. The pendant was then carefully filled with the paper and found object bits and covered with a water-like layer of crystal clear resin.

Located in the beautiful scenery of the Loch Lomond National Park, Loch Lomond has the largest freshwater surface area in Britain, and as such is affectionately known as "The Big Loch".
The Loch has well over thirty islands, most of these at the lower/bottom end. This is where the majority of the fishing is carried out. Game Fishing
During the mid eighties, Loch Lomond was unbeatable for its Sea Trout fishing. Since that period, in keeping with other Sea Trout fisheries, the numbers of Sea Trout have fallen.
In order to try and combat this decline, steps were taken in 1997 to ban the killing of Sea Trout until May 1st and this has improved the availability of fish over the summer.
The spring Salmon fishing is mixed, with some years doing well, while others not so well. The summer Salmon fishing can be very good. The grilse runs can be prolific one year and not so good the following year. While a lot of fish are caught by trolling, fly fishers do remarkably well and dapping is again becoming very popular.
Balmaha and Balloch are the two most popular areas to launch a boat from, with the former having the famous Endrick Bank next to it. There are extensive fly fishing drifts on the loch (see the map below), with something to suit most conditions and wind directions.
The one thing that is unique to Loch Lomond, is that it continues to fish well during a dought year when most other fisheries are suffering. Of course, full membership also allows anglers to fish for pike, perch and all other coarse fish too. Loch Lomond has long been famous with visitors from other parts of Britain for its coarse angling amid beautiful scenery. The L.L.A.I.A. have control over the coarse angling on Loch Lomond and issue a permit available from the secretaries or local retailers including the Balmaha Boatyard. All the funds raised after legitimate expenses go to the Loch Lomond Fisheries Trust (L.L.F.T).
Previously, anglers realised that the lochs coarse fishing was virtually un-tapped, as most Scottish anglers in the past have concentrated on game angling and still do. The anglers who specialise in fishing for pike in this, the largest area of fresh water on the British mainland, know of the monsters waiting to be caught and their fighting qualities. With a little increased fishing effort some specimen hunter will surely catch a record-breaking tail walking pike. It is recorded that a Mr. Tommy Morgan caught a pike of 47 lbs. 11 oz in 1945.
However it is not only pike that grow huge, perch also grow very large and fish of four to five pounds are there to be caught. Other coarse fish found in Lomond that are commonly available and of interest to the angler are roach, eels, and ruffe. The latter is believed to have caused great damage to the indigenous powan by eating their eggs and there is the obvious danger of bringing in any livebait (ie. the introduction of disease) from outwith the system.

Belon, G. Sandys, Sieur Du Loir, J. Spon ve G. Wheler v.b.), zamanının doğru haritalarını (J. & C. Blaeu v.b.) ve de Hollandalı tacirlerden aldığı bilgileri kullanır. Bu eser Dapper'in öteki eseri "Archipel"'in tersine başka dillere çevrilmez; nitekim sözkonusu kitabın sadece Osmanlı-Venedik savaşı sırasında (1685-1688) Venediklilerin kazandığı muhteşem zaferleri övmek için yayınlanmış olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Çarpıcı gravürlerden birçoğu V.M. Coronelli'nin yapıtlarından esinlenmiştir. Bu eser ilerideki gezginler için yararlı bir el kitabı ve danışma metni oluşturmuştur.

Using my disk cutter and a dapping tool, I first created the hoops from a copper sheet. After that, I applied numerous layers and different colors of enamel to get the desired result. These are very cool!
This is my challenge entry, yay! It's inspired by those old school sparrow tattoos and measures about 6 inches across, so it's a doozy of a necklace. I cut the widdle birdies out of 18 gauge sheet and used a chisel to make their 'feathers', dapped them gently to give them some dimension, then made 'eyebrows' and 'tailfeathers' out of wire and soldered them in place. Then I texturized their chests with an engraving burr and set this gorgeous green agate teardrop in an open back bezel. Finally I oxidized the textured areas and brought the rest to a high shine. What do you guys think?

Show stopping necklace featuring a large Victorian locket. Two dapped vintage rococo sweater guard clips, with the pin backs removed, from the 1950s' Victorian revival. A brass circle connects the rococo stampings and the locket. The locket opens and closes as it should and doesn't have any marks or pictures on the inside. Brass chain and lobster clasp.
The locket measures 1.5inches/4cms.
From the top of the sweater guard clips to the bottom of the locket is 4inches/10cms.
The chain around your neck measures 22.25inches/56.5cms.
