The other day our historical society put on 125 years since the first train arrived in Charlevoix. All sorts of festivities went on at the Depot.
Some days I am a goddess, some days I am a wild child and others I am a fragile mess, most days I am a bit of all three...
But everyday I am me

Union Pacific held "Family Days" events each year in select cities for the benefit of employees and their families. Modern railroad equipment was placed on display with free train rides for the kiddies, and even balloon rides for hearty souls.
On June 15, 1985, a shiny EMD SD40-2 and GE C30-7 were on display for Family Days at the UP passenger station in Salt Lake City.
By the late 1990s, all of this property was sold off and redeveloped into a retail mall. A luxury hotel now stands where the train is parked and high density housing covers the site of South Yard.

Bygone Days

The light was soft and gave the scene a look I always love, the kind of old painting look.

Evening pastels light up the Nutzotin Range in the Wrangell St. Elias Park in early March. When the sun sets in the northern hemisphere, the lighting is like non other I have ever seen.
Another sunset image from the Riverfront Access on the Missouri River in North Kansas City. The day bids us adieu here in the heartland.

This was taken at the Japanese Gardens of one of the beautiful Japanese maple trees!
Happy Fall to everyone!!
I hope to catch up on comments, I am running a bit behind!
