Evening pastels light up the Nutzotin Range in the Wrangell St. Elias Park in early March. When the sun sets in the northern hemisphere, the lighting is like non other I have ever seen.

Christmas is around the corner and it somehow doesn't feel like it.
We had snow yesterday but it was all gone by this morning as it started raining. Time is passing so fast that i totally missed the christmas mood. Depression and anxiety don't help with that either.
My dog is still sick. It don't get any better. He's getting from one sickness to the next one without any break. At least he's still around right?

The year has crawled then zoomed by again. I don't know why I keep getting surprised by this, but I do, year after year.

Just another one of those days, early in the morning while most people are still sleeping, especially when the weather is so gloomy, sometimes things happen that are subtle and yet still beautiful. The stillness before the day begins affords a meditative state of serenity, but even more interesting was, as I was experiencing that moment, a deer with new horns walked by literally in front of my Tri-pod (between where I was standing here and the lake) stopped, stared at me for a moment, then kept walking. It exhibited no fear of me, only a curiosity, and then went on with it's morning routine. Nature is such a mystery.

sorry for not commenting much lately havent been feeling to good so not spending as much time on flickr as usual having a rest for a few weeks but will still be visting daily for short periods of time to keep up with every bodies uploads x
A 13 mile walk yesterday from my home town of Market Harborough linking up the Northamptonshire villages of Dingley, Braybrooke, Great Oxendon and East Farndon.
I would've included Arthingworth too but decided against it as the sun was already low on the horizon by the time I'd left Braybrooke.
The walk included short sections of four long distance footpaths including the Macmillan Way, Midshires Way, Brampton Valley Way and the Jurassic Way. Baffling then that landowners don't have more signage on their land for walkers to navigate.
As it was, I'd follow one sign, get across the other side of a field only to be met with hedgerow and barbed wire and no sign of a way through or which direction to take. It was only by me knowing roughly the lay of the land and following farm tracks for some way that I was able to navigate a way through.
But I only ever return from such a walk with a peaceful mind and a glad heart.
This was taken at the pond in front of St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario. There has been some Heron there from time to time as well.

I was told Lightroom does an amazing job of stitching together photos to make a panorama. I must say after using the merge I agree. This image is three photos merged as a panorama in Lightroom. I am just totally blown away.

Another shot of last weekends sunset. On looking back at the RAW images I took in the field next door, I actually preferred this shot with the old oak tree on the left third and the flock of rare breed sheep gathered to its right in the dying embers of the day!
Sunset is a wonderful experience and often you cannot predict how the sky will light up after the sun goes over the horizon. On this occasion it was spectacular for about 5 minutes before it quickly ended.
