A day out at Kings Park - Rio Tinto Adventure Play Ground and Whiteman Park.
This was a long day for Benjamin.
We started at the Rio Tinto Adventure Play Ground where Benjamin loved running around in the open spaces. This is where he fell over many times and unbeknown to us he had grazed his knee.
We only noticed, I would say, 15 minutes after he had done it, as it was already healing over. It didn't seem to bother him at the time though.
Unfortunately the play equipment was a little above his age bracket so Jane suggested we should check out Whiteman Park.
It was a long drive there and thankfully Benjamin fell asleep about two thirds of the way there. We decided not to wake him so we went on to find the closest Bunning’s to buy a first aid kit for the graze on his knee and to have one in the car for future incidents.
By the time we finished at Bunning’s and drove back to Whiteman Park it had been almost an hour and a half that he had been asleep for. We woke him up once we had found a car park. Not surprising he was a little drowsy from being woken before he normally would on his own accord.
We took a ride on the train, going from one end of the track to the other and returning again. Benjamin was still a bit drowsy and didn’t seem to take the experience in that much but it still looked like he enjoyed it. He had a good look around and poked his head (slightly and safely) out the window as the train was traveling between stations.
We then took a tram ride around the park. This was quite a bit longer than the train ride and Benjamin was also able to have a look at the tram driver operating the controls through the window. He found this quite fascinating, not to mention his drowsiness had worn off and he was getting back to his normal self and alertness.
We finished on the tram and headed back to the car to grab the chiller with our lunch in and set out to find a nice spot to sit and eat in the picnic area.
As you can see in two of the photos I propped Benjamin on the chiller, as I thought that it would be easier to transport him to the picnic area instead of let him walk and possibly get distracted and run off. Clearly this got a lot of looks from the many people that were at the park with lots of people pointing out the “cute” sceptical of him riding on the chiller.
It brought me back to my younger days when my Dad use to walk me around on the sack truck.
Unfortunately Benjamin was not hungry, so Jane and I had a quick sandwich each, whilst tag teaming watching him run around the park and returned to the car and left Whiteman Park for home.
A fun day had by all and can’t wait to return to Whiteman Park to explore more of what the park has to offer.
Like a piece of paper where some meaningless doodles are drawn - are left to the childhood, Like a meaningless sigh heaved deeply at the departure of northern wind -- we forget the carriers of our dreams and we move on forward.

This was a blurry photo I took on the bus but I thought I could still show you the toys that came home with me after a trip to another town yesterday.
Karlie the rabbit in the carrot car is a ToyVoyager still visiting from Germany, and Sybil the skunk lives with me already, but the rest are new.
