My last week off before going back to work, I went for a day out in York to meet my friend Sarah who was down from Newcastle.

What a lovely day out! We had a Yorkshire Pudding wrap for lunch before a wander around a visiting a few bars.

York is such a beautiful city!

Murree, situated within the district of Rawalpindi, is a hill station.

It was fun. I hope you all had a great weekend too!

Tea happened in possibly the world's most amazing Pizza Express, in a former gentlemen's club.

As soon as I saw this culinary abomination I knew I had to try it. Carbonara pizza - ham on a bechemel base with an egg in the middle.

It worked, but I'm expecting Italians to be lurking round the next corner waiting to duff me up.

Linda drove us out to Warwick for a wander around and some late lunch. Weather was rather good!

The grass is tired and so are we

So I went to Maths Revision and had a good ol' chinwag with Lizzie B. Then I went out with Jess R and Jess M since the weather was gorgeous.

We've made our Summer checklist:

1) Barbecues at every possible moment

2) Party in the Park

3) The Fray gig

4) Gigs in general

5) Day out to Scarborough

6) Camp out in Whitby

7) Camp outs in general

8) Theatre productions

9) Celebrate/ drown our sorrows on results day with a couple of drinks and a meal

10) Meet new people

I love how people relax and act natural in front of toy cameras because a) they can't see the result b) I tell them there's a chance the photos won't come out. I'm nearly done with my first roll on my Holga and I cannae wait to get them developed. Honestly I'll be happy if only like two photos come out properly.

I have no idea what occasion this was, only that my grandmother (Frances Green née Martin) is second from the right in the back row. It must be about 1950.

At the British jetski championships at the Lakeside , the Freestylers really put on a great show. The water looks a bit murky though. They where close to the shore so we got some grteat pics.

This island is a bird sanctuary. All the white you can see on the right are birds, mostly Gannets.
