The sailing ship Dart pictured in Arbroath Harbour, who knows when. And there appears to be a similar vessel moored behind her. But the thing that alarms me is what looks like a massive crack in the pier in the lower right corner!

Although technically the economy car of the Dodge lineup, and the fourth-generation Dart (bowing in 1967) could still be specified with some hefty V-8 engines - this was after all the heyday of the muscle car. Chrysler eventually leaned into this, selling brightly colored Dart variants with names like Swinger, Demon, and Duster.

Is this a real thing? Or did someone custom-make it??? Because... wow.

Darters' feathers are not waterproof, and since they are underwater hunters you will usually see them sitting out of the water on a log or rock with their wings spread right out drying themselves. Their feathers are permeable to water to allow for decreased buoyancy, so they can sink to catch their prey. They have an oil gland at the base of their tail which they use while preening and squeezing the water from their feathers.

This male banded darter (Sympetrum pedemontanum) showed his beauty. Dragonflies have extremely good eyes so it's hard to get a good (close) shot but in the end, it worked. It is a small dragonfly species, flying in late Summer. The female has yellow spots in her wings with a brownish band.

Unfortunately, their habitat is reed and with the see through wings, the reed is disturbing (sorry, that's nature ...)

According to Pevsner, this bridge dates from 1413.

That's before the Battle of Agincourt. King Henry V was on the English throne.

And today is witnessed a constant succession of traffic jams as drivers panicked when they saw the 6' 6" bollards set up to prevent larger vehicles crossing it.
