Another ex Brighton Dennis Dart SLF in use with Wilts & Dorset yesterday afternoon, 27th August 2011 - 3205 (N205 NNJ).
The Dart Herald aircraft built in 1959 flown by HRH the Duke of Edinburgh during a marketing tour in South America in 1962. The aircraft is marked with the BEA, British European Airways, which existed until 1974 before becoming part of British Airways.

Darter (Anhinga melanogaster), or Shag, or Snake-bird.
Related to cormorants. It is (sub)tropical fishing bird. The plumage is sparse and easily becomes wet, so they must dry their wings conspicuously.

The darter is a large bird which almost exclusively feeds on fish and amphibians. It dives under the surface and is known to spear its prey with its long narrow bill.
