D&H 7322 in its Lehigh Valley colors leads a train on Richmondville Hill at W. Richmondville, NY on July 15, 1978. I took this photo from the cantilever signal over the tracks, that's how we did it before drones.
The bridge crosses the river at Grand Eyvia pont d'Aël, the entrance to the valley of Cogne, a side valley 8 km south-west of Aosta
Long 60.46 m and width 2.26 m, is located in the only crossing point as possible above the Grand gouffre Eyvia, 4 km long and up to 150 m deep. Its only arch stretches over the gorge, here only 12 m long, 66 m deep but, with a span of 14.24 m. The time of the arc is formed by an arc with wedges to a rib. The bridge, once presumably at three levels, leading to the ground floor along a corridor 50,35 m, which in ancient times was used to test the tightness of the overlying water pipeline. On either side of this corridor control high 3.88 m are still two rows of small windows, of which the lower ones lit up the floor and those above the roof, so that the keeper of the bridge could quickly identify leakages of 'water, which because of the frost had damaged the masonry. Döring could prove beyond doubt the existence of the ancient water pipe, the level of which runs the modern hiking trail, depending on the altitude and the route of the remains of the walls, and even the presence of a western gallery adjoining to the bridge. Its height measured 1.90 m and a width of 1 m. On the third floor there was once perhaps a sidewalk open, which gave the building a total height of 22.15 m.
