The sun is trying to peek through...

They may try to take away my job,

They may try to take away my cell phone wireless web.

They may even try to take away my friends. (Even future friends.)

But... They cannot break my spirit,

Nor can they take away what makes me who I am....

When I'm completely broken down,

When everything I have is stripped away,

When I truly have nothing left to lose,

Then, there is nowhere to go but up.

I know I am stronger than I think I am.

Time passes on, people, places, and situations change.

Things happen which we may have little or no control over.

But every ending is merely the beginning of something else.

It could be similar, or it could be different.

Everyone and everything is in a constant state of evolution and change..

All we need to realize is that we only give up control over things if we choose to...

I choose to stand my ground, travel down that road, and see where it takes me.

My beacon will shine bright... It's my time to shine.

I will create my own singularity....

Another odd case where Rich and I shot the same model. Fresh out of her session with him, she asked me if we could set up a shoot. Rich worked with her twice: first, second.

Strobist details: A 622 and a 285HV on the same stand, one with a white gel one with a green gel, to the left. One green gel 622HV to the right. All optically triggered off of the 144PC in my G7's hotshoe.

I also used a green, blue, and red LED glowstick to get the light trails the way I did.

every year, you'll find me complaining in cyberspace about the cold. i am just not a winter person. i hate to be cold. i thrive in the warmth. and thus, during freezing temps, the outdoors and me do not go hand in hand. so i'm looking for pretty winter {color} blues to make the winter {mood} blues disappear.

though winter does not officially start for another couple weeks, it sure feels like it has already arrived here. and it looks like it too, as we have already had a couple of snowy days.

this is one of those "feeling very cooped up" decembers for me... probably the most cooped up i have ever felt. yikes! and i still have such a long way to go until it warms up around here! i guess i'll be getting out to take pictures as much as i possibly can so as to combat this cabin fever... pictures like this that make me happy in the midst of my least favorite season.

i know... you are probably surprised to see me here. it's been a while. but before christmas arrives, i'll be back with a wallop of an update and a wish for a blessed holiday season. but for now, i just have some winter venting to do.
