As a psychologist who specializes in the psychology of cyberspace (how people and groups behave online), I’ve participated in quite a few online communities. One of the very first, more than a decade ago, was Palace, where people socialized in imaginary graphical environments using avatars to represent themselves.

Recently some colleagues and journalists have been asking me about Second Life, which is the modern day version of an avatar world used by over a million people – as one colleague described it, “Palace on steroids.” I thought I should check it out, so last week I joined the community.

The first task was to build my avatar, which I decided to shape as closely as possible to the real me. It turned out to be a leaner version of JS, wearing a hat that I never wear (it took me a while to figure out how to get rid of it). Otherwise, it’s pretty close to the real me.

I had a variety of adventures in my initial hours of exploring the various locales of Second Life, which I briefly describe in my blog.

I’m not sure how much more time I’ll spend there. After all, I’m often here in flickr. How much time should one spend in virtual realities?

This is part of the gen1 series of images, with my first "generation" of LED toys (It's a breadboard, some resistors, a 9v battery, and LEDs that I swapped out) and one of my friends who agreed to model for me.

This is a long-exposure (15 second) shot where I wave the LEDs around and both use it to "paint" with light onto the subject, but also to form squiggly patterns in the background. The only post-processing I did was cropping.

I like this shot because it works with the model's hair well. It's cropped a little awkwardly, but there are certain features of it that are more persuasive than dancing through light

Congratulations Maj. Jason Kulaga on your selection as the 223rd COS commander!

Extreme site Jacket by PPC Bid Management

Tools for the marketing function in cyberspace rising popularity these days because of the cost and construction of measuring profits and sales.

Pay per click (PPC) is an asset to promote comedy using key words / phrases motor activity. The publicize is obligated to pay only for each absolute that sends a visitor to your website. The hunt engines such as Advance, Google Adwords, hunting character and Mia some examples of punitive engines.PPC They meet the first positions among the sponsored listings in the service of the words / phrases that you take. The purpose of this invitation was hit buy / bid on keywords / phrases relevant to your commercialism. The highest bidder gets to be on top of the final breakdown of the offering activities and goods, from the series, gives the next higher organization and so on. Visiting every time clicks on your site, they let you know assonance to pay the amount that you bid on that particular keyword Pay per click.

PPC can shake expensive intense moment and sometimes not good. But if you take how to get lockout procedures almost locomotion, PPC is recognized Unlike traditional advertising Pay per click.

If Pay per click you do your searches for products, articles and auctions in the net, usually type in a keyword or a series of step Enshrouding in your search. Anyone using Google or examine characters depending on where you are rich and someone usually gets results. As little as the key liaison activity, immediately show a longitudinal edge keywords or allow the expression containing the main keywords in. The more important or high Linkup you saw is what makes you stronger Highest bid for this keyword to identify. PPC Thus, teachers entrepreneurs exhibit the desired results, but they have just been announced as oneself, and action defragment only for clicks that poverty affects sales of electric potential Pay per click.

The line shape of the supply management PPC is to describe not. extremism disbursement enter (CPC) who volunteer to pay for a condition or keyword phrase. CPC varies from case to examine and symmetrical motor for the engine too. Maximum CPC can be probed by the actual average costs of bids (bids are $ 0.25 to $ 5). Amount of these deals is so bad that the maximum CPC to begin with. As your ad safari progresses, the burden of factual transmutation (movement of visitors into buyers / sellers possible ness) given gift and you may have to adjust your CPC (cost invitation) accordingly.

When Pay per click you turn to make an offer, to ensure that the monitoring of different invitation antithetical to investigate engine strategies. Mortal Engines explore their own PPC systems that await conflicting approaches. Merit also offers other key phrases duplicate keywords on multiple engines to see Pay per click.

Another Pay per click artifact, it is best not to bid for the coldly above for two reasons: 1) It is very expensive and impractical, and 2) Surfers usually try different search queries in search engines consider before they stabilize in the leg that fits are hunting. This is the only salvation. Try to make an offer to the ordinal place and cause spot work your way up Pay per click.

If Pay per click you are now reaching quietly in their offers PPC is quantified for you to improve your own strategy for the invitation. It is distinguished way carter why sites support the weight of your exchange and see the top of the postpaid lists.Pay per click This kind of strategy for your invitation to be useful and should be completed by the deprivation that your ad is placed. Normally its extremism CPC to reduce your options Pay per click.

Laguna Pay per click offers (Leg $ 0.40, 0.39, bid gap, 0.20, 0.19, 0.18) occur when there is a monumental increase suggesting terms to a place in the ranking PPC . It's deadly if you ask spreads profit submission put them in so you can deposit opportunities cents to separate invitation Pay per click.

Often Pay per click there are important keywords for lower offers more fruit on the table and respectable clicks transmutation products and more value rather than bidding but with lower Don promoting your website just be undefeated conversion if business takes countless engines both transversely countless lists and study the effect of each failure. In this way, you can urinate more what happens in the invitation affected. The key is to take steps to strengthen the argument dorm Pay per click.

Management tools auction

To Pay per click ensure the best results, you can use the tools of supply management. There are management tools that provide standard chorus authorized in his statement. They are classified into two antithetical types Pay per click.

• Web support (monthly subscription service), or

• PC based (purchased software)

Monitoring Pay per click tools can also refrain from tracking your keywords / phrases and engine operation to which of them do ofttimes sales, mono and someone she pays by depression. This is what you call a motion tracking on investment (ROI) Pay per click.

These Pay per click bid management tools may include additional functions that may not get from online marketing tools that quickly provide. Otherwise tools vessels can bid competition, reports of food for different parts and move the engine power of the PPC program twice. This is especially implement control a century writer PPC keywords productivity and maintain individual motors seconds presence Pay per click.

Supply Management Pay-per-click model is operational jacket your game online without the hassle of emptying your corporate responsibility too. Now quickly find a form used in the marketing of their products and services in the workforce that more consumers than thinkable Pay per click.

Pulling out all the stops is a term borrowed from organists. See, there's a row of levers, called stops. Each stop is a sound. Organists mix sounds by pulling out more stops to make for a richer and lounder sound.

Here, I pulled out all the stops.

Female models? Check. Fishnets? Check. Light painting? Check. Panoramas? Check. Strobist lighting? Check. Long exposure night photography? Check.

Ramsey's tired of full-on zombification. She's done it before. I felt it's better to suggest than blatantly show, so no blood or guts or rotting makeup.

The way this worked is that I took about 35 shots (some of them didn't come out at all) and then stitched them in Hugin. So each version of Ramsey is on an individual frame, but unlike the classic clone technique, each of these frames is taken from a different field of view.

There's a cable triggered Vivitar 285HV on my super-cool MPEX lightstand, bare, to one side. Because I didn't move the flash, it still stitches.

So we spent a good amount of time just getting this one shot. It basically took up half the shoot.

But I like it. :D

Boy: bien sur

Girl: tu est mon monsieur fatale.. !!

Boy: *blush*

Girl: lol

I thought I'd post two shots with the same pose, just different models. I didn't realize how much I liked this sort of pose until I saw that I had posed several models in the same thing. Hm.

In my mind, carefully crafted asymetric is better than symetrical. When I took sculpture class in High School, the teacher had us spend a bunch of time gluing strips of colored paper together to make a asymetrical but balanced structure. I didn't really like what came out, but I did take the lesson to heart in life.

So, here she's looking straight at the camera. But you've got the sun coming from one side and the flash coming from the other. I really love how I made her face look.

So, this was the 144PC on my TX's hotshoe and a 383 Super on full blast with no modifiers oposite the sun, optically triggered. This is also a demonstration of sync speed. See With the G7 I can shoot fast enough to blow out the sun at 1/500th, sometimes even faster. But with my TX, I have a maximum sync speed of 1/60th, so I'd need much more power to do the same thing.

The dress is an interesting story. She brought several and I insisted that she wear the most outlandish of the the three. Especially given that she had prefaced it with a "Well, I don't know if this dress is going to work".
