Das Schiff wurde im Jahre 1939 als Hochsee-Fischkutter (Gaffelketsch) gebaut. Der Kutter war lange Zeit vor Island im Einsatz, wurde später umgebaut und fuhr dann als Postschiff an Norwegens Küsten. Aus dieser Zeit stammt noch das Schild, auf dem zu lesen ist, dass maximal 98 Passagiere befördert werden können. 180 m² Segelfläche und ein Kromhout-Dieselmotor mit 10 Litern Hubraum sorgen für den nötigen Fortbewegungsschub. Der Kutter ist 22,5 m lang, 4,8 m breit und hat einen Tiefgang von 2,0 m.

US Marine Corps veteran Bob Cutter would like to wish all his family and friends in the Viroqua area a Happy Holidays! Bob was born in Viroqua, WI more than 97 years ago! In 1941 he enlisted in the Marine Corps and served in WWII. With all his adventures and obstacles through life he was happy to have his family by his side. He has 3 children, 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and even a couple of great-great grandchildren! Bob loves to share his stories of service and his hard-earned wisdom. A female leaf cutter bee working. She chews out a chunk of leaf and uses it in her nest. The leaves here are on a passion fruit vine.

We have been purchasing some tools specific to the world of rebar.

Which is now our world. The first one arrived today. It is a self

contained hydraulic rebar cutter. I picked it up off ebay for $120. We

haven't tried it yet since it came in late in the afternoon when we

were already onto concrete work. it looks exciting though. Just pump

the handles and cut through #5 rebar. We had been using a angle

grinder for many rebar cuts inside the dome which has a lot of

drawbacks. I bet this tool would also be good for looting.
