I don't have a studio, so all of my shots are done, out in the world. This particular shot was taken at a club, he was dancing, and I was fortunate enough to catch this moment, with him unaware.
you can kind of see the cutter stick in this picture. it fits in flush between the two plates. my blade doesn't reach the bottom at the moment either. it came with 2 blades, one installed and one freshly (heh, freshly 30 years ago...but still sharp) sharpened. when we put it back together we put the sharpened one in which was much shorter than the other. I think I just have to do some adjusting and maybe get some longer screws...
