A trip with friends up to Cutter Ranch near Clinton, BC to meet our young lambs before they are slaughtered in a couple months. We then stayed the weekend at Loon Lake for some relaxing, cooking, and of course eating!

Junior Dan Woldtvedt, a biomedical sciences major, uses a diamond-tipped band saw to slice through a cow bone in a lab on the Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences campus on Saturday, September 22, 2007. Woldtvedt, along with graduate student Wes Womack, not pictured, created a three-dimensional model of the cartlidge in the human spinal cord. It is used to predict the reactions to stress placed on that cartlidge.

Annual event organised by Classic Sailing and open for charter crew to join in on Eve, Agnes and Annabel J. This year we had 15 pilot cutters at the event in Fowey and St Mawes, Cornwall.

US Marine Corps veteran Bob Cutter would like to wish all his family and friends in the Viroqua area a Happy Holidays! Bob was born in Viroqua, WI more than 97 years ago! In 1941 he enlisted in the Marine Corps and served in WWII. With all his adventures and obstacles through life he was happy to have his family by his side. He has 3 children, 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and even a couple of great-great grandchildren! Bob loves to share his stories of service and his hard-earned wisdom. He’s sending you all Season’s Greetings from Wisconsin Veterans Home at Union Grove!

puzzle no: 210
Wandering around a local antique/vintage/bric a brac store yesterday I spotted a tatty old brown box housing a quantity of wooden jigsaw pieces. It was priced at a mere £2, so I thought I'd take a punt just in case it was complete, although I didn't hold out much hope.
So yesterday evening I tipped out the pieces and made a start. Initially thinking some pieces had lost their top layer, I soon realised they were just areas of sky and that the image was most probably a countryside scene. Best of all, the puzzle was complete!
So here it is: a cottage scene with a signature at bottom right, 'Jacob Brooks'. I can't find anything much more than his dates (1877-1954) and that he was born in Birmingham to immigrant
Jewish Polish/Russian parents, so if anyone can identify the date, maker or cutter of this little puzzle I'd appreciate it.
It was housed in an old envelopes box so I thought I could date it that way, but with no luck.

We have been purchasing some tools specific to the world of rebar.
Which is now our world. The first one arrived today. It is a self
contained hydraulic rebar cutter. I picked it up off ebay for $120. We
haven't tried it yet since it came in late in the afternoon when we
were already onto concrete work. it looks exciting though. Just pump
the handles and cut through #5 rebar. We had been using a angle
grinder for many rebar cuts inside the dome which has a lot of
drawbacks. I bet this tool would also be good for looting.
