I had really gone to Prior's Wood looking for Bluebells, but they were not quite all out yet. This as yet unfurled fern caught my eye though and I deemed it worthy of sparing a few pixels on it.

Not sure what this grass is but its growing in our daughters garden and although it may be a weed, its a very attractive one.

Had a lovely beach walk with my youngest granddaughter the other day. For a change she was in the mood to let me take a few photos, which is a real rarity.

I tried with an unsuitable lens, I know

Sigma 105mm f2.8 macro lens on a Canon EOS 5D Mark II.

Otherwise healthy looking animal with a big overbite but it was eating well. Nice to see it in the morning sunshine.

I literally fell in love with the Zeiss 85mm Planar.

I have several plants of this in the polytunnel.

 

I intend to just keep harvest a handful of leaves at a time from each plant and then when flower shoots form these are great to eat too

After a case of mistaken identity, the real Curly returns (still crestless). I guess this is a permanent condition, but he seems to be an otherwise healthy, happy bird.
