This is one of the old metal measuring cups my mom gave me. I'll have to ask her if she has a guess about the age. They've been around for as long as I can remember. When I got my house, she gave a set to me.

Done and done, and I'm still not ready for the day. I'm not sure when this heat wave started, but we're in for another week of 100+ degree days and no rain for relief. It's really getting boring being stuck inside all day. I do some yardwork every day, but can only stand it for an hour or two.
Good news, though! Next week the highs are supposed to take a nose dive down to 99 degrees all week!
Okay, so there is legit a heart in that cup of tea. It was because of the whipped cream.
I enhanced it a tad bit because you could hardly see it in the film but it was really visible in real life

MSCE 7/30/09: i've always thought that cup lids should have faces. in particular, this sad "punctured eye" face, where the addition of the straw enhances the expression. at the very least, a good enough reason to move the straw hole from the center of the cup.
