The name of "cupcake" is given as it is a small cake the size of a teacup. In previous centuries, before muffin tins were widely available, the cakes were often baked in individual pottery cups, ramekins, or molds. The name "fairy cake" is a fanciful description of its size, which would be appropriate for a party of diminutive fairies to share.
Cupcakes are often served during a celebration, such as children's birthday parties. Additionally, they can be served as an accompaniment to afternoon tea. They are a more convenient alternative to a large cake as they don't require utensils or division into individual portions.

Indoor still life on a rainy day at my Airbnb Ballachulish on a short break.
With this being second day and trying to stay of the gin too early did some still life practice in the kitchen of my Airbnb,
Pretty productive as ye can see, with my 180 macro, I was shooting acoss the length of the kitchen when was great fun.

If there is one thing in this world that I really love, its coffee. It makes life almost bearable. I can't believe in a couple days its going to be February and I haven't taken a single photo in January. Why does that make me feel bummed out? I'm not sure, I guess I got it in my head that I always needed some kind of photo "quota" that I need to achieve but that's just untrue.
We are blasted with thousands of photos everyday and think we need to do the same but its okay to only take a handful of photos throughout the year that you like.

This photograph made me think of what is happening in the World Cup towards its end. Some teams have left, some are still in there fighting for the fish and some look on in absolute amazement. Please feel free to desecrate the image with notes if you like. Wishing you a very happy Saturday (I know some of us will be very tense this afternoon). So sorry to see Brazil go out but a big congratulations to Holland - I bet the whole country was orange. And then that game last night was just such a cliff-hanger. Well done Ghana and Uruguay.
