160 701 Champ de pavot
Champ de "pavot pharmaceutique" (le fruit de forme ovoïde contient une multitude de graines ...)
The base photos used here, slightly modified by me of course, were from cell cultures done by Elizabeth Normand here at Brown University. The cells are transfected with proteins that fluoresce if the protein is expressed by the cell and much of the color you see is merely enhanced but not changed.
Warwick UK - Collegiate Church of St Mary
St Mary’s was founded on its present site in 1123 by Roger de Newburgh, the Earl of Warwick. The Crypt still remains from the original Norman building, and houses a rare example of a medieval ducking stool.
The Chancel, Vestry and Chapter House were rebuilt in the Fourteenth Century by Thomas Beauchamp, and this section of the building represents one of the highest peaks of English Gothic architecture. The tomb of Thomas Beauchamp stands in front of the high altar; the tiny figures around its base give a fine depiction of Fourteenth Century English fashion. Fulke Greville's enigmatic monument takes up most of the Chapter House.
The glorious Beauchamp Chapel was built in the Fifteenth Century to house the tomb of Richard Beauchamp, the Earl of Warwick and one of the richest and most powerful people in the history of our country.

This is a very simple and cheerful painting that conveys its message when viewed carefully. This is a painting of the Mongolian tribe that tames eagles for hunting other animals. In the world where people are struggling to get technology under their control through robots, these people believe in their culture and ethnic beliefs. They rightly belief that even when the mankind consider that they are controlling technology they will never agree that they are being controlled by it. Eagles are birds that are endangered and depict power. The tribe also makes the eagle wear helmets in order to mark their ownership and make them look beautiful.
James Ensor - 1860-1949.
Museum Plantin-Moretus (Antwerp, Belgium):
Ensor's States of Imagination.
Ensor's adventure with etching starts in 1886. He is 26 years old then, at the height of his career. During the following years, he is completely taken by the art of etching. He creates over 130 prints. Befriended artists and master-printers teach him the intricacies of the art.
Work of James Ensor.
