"A mãe da virgem diz que não

E o anúncio da televisão

E estava escrito no portão

E o maestro ergueu o dedo

E além da porta

Há o porteiro, sim...

E eu digo não

E eu digo não ao não

Eu digo: É!

Proibido proibir

É proibido proibir

É proibido proibir

É proibido proibir...

Me dê um beijo, meu amor

Eles estão nos esperando

Os automóveis ardem em chamas

Derrubar as prateleiras

As estantes, as estátuas

As vidraças, louças

Livros, sim...

E eu digo sim

E eu digo não ao não

E eu digo: É!

Proibido proibir

É proibido proibir

É proibido proibir

É proibido proibir....”

Denver, CO - The Denver Art Museum was orginall\y founded in 1893. It consists of four main buildings, the most recent was opened in 2014.

This is inside the Martin Building, it is LEED Siver Certified. What does that mean? From what I understand it means it uses less energy and water than most buildings. It also means that there were steps taken to minimize pollution and waste even during construction.

All I know is they had nice things inside and if you head to the top floor there are some great views of downtown Denver.

This doll is so awesome!!! I'm totally in love! She is so adorable!!!

Everything about this doll just seems so nice. I have two Dollfie Dreams so I guess I can compare her to those since they are both vinyl dolls, but if I had to choose which I like better I would pick the Smart Doll (however I like both SD and DD faces equally).

Even though she only comes with basic casual clothes, I actually prefer it this way. Both of my Dollfie Dreams (DDS Akira and Ranka Lee) came with weird looking elaborate outfits that really added to the cost, even though I only wanted the base doll. I don't like paying for extras like that. SD Ebony's default clothing is worth the price alone in just the jeans!!! Seriously these jeans are really nice, the distressing looks professional and they have a good fit.

The other two good items that make it worth the price are the shoes and the wig. Ebony's default wig is higher quality than other BJD wigs I have. Before I opened her I was like "meh, just a wig, right?", but after I tried it on, I was surprised again at the quality. It doesn't look overly puffy with too much hair, and even with the less hair the wigcap doesn't show through anywhere! And to top it off, even though it's a dark colored wig, THE WIGCAP IS LIGHT COLORED! I really, really, really wish other wig companies would start doing this!!! This is proof that it can be done: a dark colored wig that doesn't show the wigcap that is a light colored, non-staining interior!

And the shoes! If you get one of these dolls, buy extra boots! Just do it, it's worth the cost. They are awesome, just like miniature real shoes. All of my doll boots are so stiff at the ankle, they can't bend, but the Smart Doll ring boots I have, the leather is soft enough to pose the ankle!

And she is so lightweight! Lighter than a Dollfie Dream, so she is easy to carry around, and her stand that plugs into her butt makes it sooooo easy to pose. You can even put her in a sitting pose and the stand will hold her, or even crazy weird stuff. Her joints are pretty tight and can hold a bit of weight, so she doesn't budge. My DD's knees sometimes can't support some standing poses, so I'm happy with Smart Doll's strength! She doesn't skip out at the gym.

Sorry I keep rambling about this doll! I've been collecting many types of dolls now for 8 years so I didn't really expect any surprises when I opened her. I'm so used to dolls being so floppy/loose or hard to pose/stand, so the greatest aspect about Smart Doll is how stable they are.

"The word ‘selfie’ may bring to mind an adolescent girl making duck faces at an iPhone, seemingly oblivious to her surroundings, or a daredevil hanging off a skyscraper moments from death – symptoms of a self-obsessed culture and, some argue, the decline of society. Teenagers in particular have embraced the digital self-portrait. 91% of teens have taken a selfie and many have shared them on Instagram, Facebook and other social networks."

Having never taken a 'selfie' in my life, is this obsession just a bit of harmless fun, what are your thoughts?

These where taken last year during a mini photo project I never really finished to create a set of images to capture the various different locations around Chester Cathedral.

No time for proper WH games today; I've made a rare emergence from hermitude as I've been asked to take some photos of the Lichfield Mystery plays. The dress rehearsals are over this weekend; the event itself is in two weeks time. It's quite a challenge too because I don't get to pose anyone and I'm totally at the mercy of the ambient light and the angles I can get to the stage.

Most Westerners know one of the mystery plays, it's the Nativity play that so many people did at school. There are many others and the event consists of a series of 15 minute playlets telling various Bible stories starting with Creation and finishing with Doomsday. Now, I confess I'm not a religious person but I am a fan of the Mystery Plays. At it's best, it is a huge social affair that gives everyone who wishes to perform a chance to do just that.

It doesn't matter if scenery falls over, actors flub their lines, it rains on the outdoor stages, the costumes are of varying quality and the players range from semi-professional to nervous amateur. That's the beauty of it and it becomes totally accessible to any group of people that want to give a play a go.

If you happen to be anywhere near Lichfield on the Spring Bank Holiday, why not drop by?
