My concept here is of a memory supressed behind locked doors, hidden behind a mask of shame, sadness and disbelief. I wanted to capture the pressure caused by this big looming memory that wants to be released but must be forever suppressed.

Eighty-four teams of architects and students took part in the 2008 sand castle/sand sculpture contest on Galveston Island, Texas. This detailed carving was a part of a crypt-style structure.
