This was taken on a recent trip to Winchester. The crypt in the cathedral regularly gets flooded, creating some nice reflections. It's nice to be able to photograph reflections without having to wait for the wind to die down or curse the ducks. The statue is a creation of Anthony Gormley.

Guess what? The deal is done! I’ve officially joined Team Cryptic as an amateur boxer. This is only the beginning—belts are coming home, and I’m here to make waves. Watch me grow, dominate, and leave a legacy that can’t be touched. Let’s show them what we’re made of!
Phyllodesmium crypticum is a small nudibranch that mimics the soft coral Xenia amongst which it is normally found. The length of the slug is 45–60 mm. This species contains zooxanthellae and has cerata which have a most distinctive shape. They are dorso-ventrally flattened and quadrangular in cross-section. A row of nodules runs up each of the four edges of the ceras and there are also scattered nodules on the two flat sides. (Wikipedia) Lembeh Strait, North Sulawesi, Indonesia.

Of all the butterflies I enjoyed pursuing through he lovely Romanian meadows this, the Wood White, gave me the greatest challenge. For more than half a day I followed its slow wing flaps up hill and down again, willing it to settle. Teasingly, it invariably moved on after a promising airborne pause. Our time in the meadows drawing to a close, this small, dainty female finally settled.
The Wood White always sits with closed wings so that only the undersides are visible but I have included a record shot of its upperwings as it fluttered low showing the lack of black wing tip present in males. Female Wood White fly only half as frquently as males (Thomas & Lewington) and are therefore seen less often.
Thank you all for your kind responses.

The family Formicariidae is a small family, it contains probably some 12 species in two fairly small genera. Species here are similar in appearance to small rails.
These are forest birds that tend to feed on insects at or near the ground. Most are drab in appearance with shades of (rusty) brown, black, and white being their dominant tones. Compared to other birds that specialize in following ants, this family is the most tied to the ground. The long, powerful legs (which lend the birds a distinctive upright posture) and an essentially vestigial tail aid this lifestyle.

Our guide had to show us where this chameleon was at the reserve. We could not have found it on our own.
Calumma crypticum, commonly known as the cryptic chameleon, is a species of chameleon found in Madagascar.
The species is endemic to Madagascar and has a broad latitudinal distribution between the Anosy Mountains in the south and the Tsaratanana Massif in the north.
It is a forest chameleon that occurs in mid-altitudes between 1,050 and 1,850 m elevation, where it appears to be more abundant in semi-open areas associated with trails, gaps and rivers.
The chameleon species is only found in humid forest and the loss or severe degradation of these habitats due to agricultural conversion and logging is a threat, especially outside of protected areas. – Wikipedia
N1089, a Bombardier BD-700-2A12 Global 7500, on approach to runway 05 at Toronto Pearson International Airport in Mississauga, Ontario. Serial number 70049 was arriving from Van Nuys, California. Only 75 minutes later, it departed runway 05 for its base at Broomfield, Colorado.
Given its price of approximately US$75 million, one hopes that a creative paint scheme will eventually be worn by this bland beauty.
Originally C-GJKD, serial number 70049 became VP-CZV on March 30, 2021. It was delivered from the completion centre at Dorval, Quebec to Windsor Locks, Connecticut on May 3, 2021 and was reregistered as N1089 on May 5, 2021. It entered service with its latest owner eight days later.

The cryptic sponge shrimp is almost invisible and therefore a master in camouflage. The crustacean comes in different colors matching the color of the sponge it is living on. It grows to a size of about 25mm.

Squat, cryptically-plumaged shorebird with a very long bill. Inhabits a wide range of wetland habitats, from damp meadows to saltmarshes. Mostly inconspicuous, feeding in muddy ground by probing with its bill, usually near reeds or other grassy cover. Often not seen until flushed, when it usually rises from fairly close range with a rough rasping call. Breeding birds are more conspicuous, perching on fence posts. In display flight, birds stoop from high overhead and produce a pulsating, bleating sound from air passing through their fanned tail.

Pint glass imprinted with the seal of Duo Security, a developer of multi-factor authentication solutions. A lot of symbolism is incorporated in that two-inch (50.8mm)-diameter emblem; among other elements, the binary strings near the top spell D-U-O, and the motto, Tuebor, Latin for “I will defend,” also appears on the flag and seal of the US state of Michigan, where the company is based.
For the record, this is the first time I used this glass to hold a beverage.
