There is a common caterpillar - possibly the Tobacco Budworm (Heliothis virescens) - that really likes to feed on larkspur seed stalks. It eats unripe and ripening seed pods. It's fairly large and quite common on the seed stalks, but its colors often closely match those of the seed stalk - look carefully! Either this species or another in the same genus (H. subflexa) also devours unripe ground cherries in huge quantites; groups of this caterpillar sometimes destroy almost every single ground cherry within an area of several square meters.
se murio rosita nos la comimos (rosita is dead. we ate her)
What does it mean? what is the back story?
