A recent trip to the South Downs felt like witnessing the crossover from winter to spring. The arrival of spring is particularly welcome after a wet winter in the south of England.

10.000 m² office space, 318 appartments, 46 footbridges.

"Little C" is the name of this nearly finished complex.

Designed as an alternative to the cold and impersonal high-rise and their surrounding dead streets, this should become more like a neighbourhood, with shops and facilities at ground level.

It looks a bit like pre-war Rotterdam, I guess. Or like New York.

A Slinky is a toy pre-compressed helical spring invented by Richard James.

It can perform a number of tricks, including travelling down a flight of steps end-over-end as it stretches and re-forms itself with the aid of gravity and its own momentum.

Great fun from Studio Indigo.

Hope this brings a smile again, have a good day and thanks for your visit, so very much appreciated, Magda, (*_*)

Found on Explore. Thank You to All.

Was it, ever thus, for you?

the impression of magnitude in heart,

athletic with each beat

keeping apace, keep alight

in desire, nothing is barred

imagination ignited under moonlight

each day, each night, we're getting better

another mile from atrabilious menhir

climbing meliorating valley roads

golden-leaved, autumn-hued, nautically refined

always one step ahead, always one step from...?

uncovering nature's trust, to bare and spellbind

desire still lingers where love is plaid

no dance for when the song is played

random thoughts upon a chosen flow

my leaf falls into your stream's assuredness

floating, graced and touched: oneness unto us bestowed

esteemed in each other's heavenly essence, as one, boundless!

Augusta, Maine. I arrived just in time to see the power coming through the crossover after having made a setout and then back on to their train as seen in these two shots. As I recall I was shooting through a fence looking down on this train which included a Boston & Maine GP38-2, two MEC U25Bs and what looks like a D&H GE of some sort. While I had hoped to see a solid MEC consist, and I did on a few occasions, most of the trains I photographed included a variety of units from the merged roads to include a few units painted in the Guilford scheme. 6.85

Soms zit ik in deze trein, en kijk ik naar de weg waar ik wel eens fiets.

Some days I'm on this train, watching the road where I cycle from time to time.

The vehicle is the Element, one of Honda’s crossover utilities, offered during model years 2003-2011. They were built in East Liberty, Ohio. This one is missing an element of body cladding on the front fender. Who knows how that happened.

Here’s a video that appeared on BBC’s Top Gear tv program. They wanted to gauge the potential reception of the vehicle by the traditional Honda owners in the UK, apparently older people.

youtu.be/msYFxo0kP34?si=nkRtIdbOFZE62p_w The premise was that the Element would be deemed as for the cool and hip if the typical elderly Honda owner rejected it.

Continuing its non-excursion trip from Roanoke to Charlottesville, Virginia, N&W A-class 2-6-6-4 1218 nears its destination. Pulling a pair of tool cars, and five hoppers to be left in Charlottesville, the big articulated is leading a mixed train one the Southern main line at Teel, Virginia.

Hey, everyone! On my wife's commute to work, she spotted ideal conditions for capturing beautiful landscapes in our neighborhood. Seizing the opportunity, I swiftly grabbed my camera and snapped a few shots before kicking off my workday. The enchanting blend of frost, mist, and lingering fall colors painted a captivating Winter/Fall crossover scene. What's your take on it?
