Is in the dark that you have to look , with disobedience , optimism and recklessness.

Somewhere during our snowy drive down the Icefields Parkway, we crossed the park boundary line from Jasper National Park to Banff National Park. The only way we knew it, was with a sign that marked the spot. We were quite focused on the winding, wet road that I am not sure the exact location of this beautiful valley in the Rockies. I do know this was in the Banff Park. We were pressed for time due to weather. However, when the clouds lifted enough for a peek at this lookout point, we stopped for a quick picture. It depicts that moody unpredictable day we had. You can see the road below that we drove on next. The awe of travelling deep between those majestic mountains just cannot be captured with images. Hay pequeños dioses cerca.
A veces
alguien cercano
precisa de una mano
y nunca nos muestra
que la necesita.
Anónimo creador
hecho a escala de Dios
del que nunca sabremos
que también la vida
le hace daño.
A veces
hay personas
vecinas
que se tragan las lágrimas
para ayudar
a los que gritan
mientras su biografía
del dolor
siempre estará incompleta
por que el que da
no precisa que ninguno
lo sepa.

The Severn Bridge (Welsh: Pont Hafren), sometimes also called the Severn-Wye Bridge is a motorway suspension bridge spanning the River Severn and River Wye between Aust, South Gloucestershire (just north of Bristol) in England, and Chepstow, Monmouthshire in South East Wales, via Beachley, Gloucestershire, a peninsula between the two rivers. It is the original Severn road crossing between England and Wales and took three and half years[3] to construct at a cost of £8 million.[4] It replaced the Aust ferry.
The bridge was opened on 8 September 1966, by Queen Elizabeth II, who hailed it as the dawn of a new economic era for South Wales. The bridge was granted Grade I listed status on 26 November 1999.[5]

Just over the Highway 17 grade crossing is as far as Cumbres & Toltec’s Rotary OY outfit train is going to plow on March 1, 2020. It began riding on ice-filled flangeways on the east side of the crossing and was quickly stopped, and backed away. A large accumulation of snow was deposited here by highway plows, and all the activity over on this side of the crossing caused a lot of ice buildup too. The crew tries to clean out the ice, but since the crew was getting low on time, it was quickly decided to head back to town and call it a day. Better doing this than possibly derailing a rotary plow on top of a state highway crossing.

Something tells me I can trust in you
There's no pretense in the things you do
So much water under this bridge
And I'm standing here at the water's edge
Looking into your eyes
I'm crossing the river to get to you
I'm crossing the river
Crossing the river
You had the longing of a broken heart
Shined your light in a room that was frozen dark
Looking into your eyes (yeah yeah)
Looking into your eyes
I'm crossing the river (crossing the river) to get to you
I'm crossing the river (crossing the river)
And this time I'll make it through
With your faith and your arms open wide
I see you there on the other side
Crossing the river, of fear and pride
There's no turning back, I know
I've come so far and I've got so far to go
I'm crossing the river (crossing the river) to get to you
I'm crossing the river (crossing the river)
And this time I'll make it through (oh yeah)
With your faith and your arms open wide
I see you there on the other side
Crossing the river, of fear and pride (of fear and pride)

Back to Scotland, April 2024, and an image I've only just got round to processing. I thought it was worth a run-out of a few of the 1Z10 Scotland trip before our revisit in May this year.
