Cross processed slide film image of the main monoliths of the Garden of the Gods. I love how it intensifies the reds and blues and vastly increases the film grain. | shot on slide film, Canon A2E, 2003
Theres some kind of charm to out of focus stars, and when you add a hint of cross processing, it gets a real nice feel to it.
This was an assignment for an alternative colour photography course at my local community college. This is shot on Fuji RTP II – an ISO 64 tungsten balanced transparency film that I had developed as negative film. Love what is going on with the colour shifts and the contrast.
It's been so long that I can't remember how we lit this anymore. My apologies on that front.
I sought to recreate the yellow tinged, contrasty look of cross-processed Kodak Elite Chrome 100 film using Adobe Lightroom and Topaz Restyle.
The source image was washed out due to aiming into the sun.
Contrast was enhanced in lightroom, followed by color replacement in Restyle (a custom color scheme copied from an x-pro image I like, 65% normal blending mode) and tweaking the clarity slider.

This crossed processed image was shot in a bed of wild flowers planted in Burnside, Glasgow. A beautiful oasis of colour at a busy junction.

I found a cool new website on another Flickr contact stream and thought I'd give the presets a try. I'm digging the "cross processed" action. Check it out www.picnik.com/. A little bump in contrast in Lightroom as well.
Off to Wisconsin tomorrow.
