In the early morning, near our lodging "Baccoleno", I searched for a suitable location for the sunrise and landed in the middle of a freshly plowed field.

Imbros Gorge is one of the nicest canyons on the Greek island Crete. It is 11 km long, but still an easy hike. It offers some very spectacular parts, especially very narrow passages and an impressive stone arch, where this shot was taken.

I was surprised to see this mural in Crete because it reminded me of more indigenous designs from humans I've seen coming from other areas of the world besides Greece. If anyone Greek knows more about it, please let me know! Also, I had forgotten to bring cat treats on this walk and so I wasn't able to feed this little kitten and I felt very sad about it and hated my brain for forgetting.

Looking up within Samariá Gorge.
The Samariá Gorge is an impressive gorge in the southwest of the island of Crete (Greece). It is a major tourist attraction of the island and even in October you will find a lot of people hiking through this impressive gorge.
