Rated as one of the best beaches in the world, on the NW tip of Crete and quite difficult to get to.
The little specs on the left and in the water are swimmers.
In the early morning, near our lodging "Baccoleno", I searched for a suitable location for the sunrise and landed in the middle of a freshly plowed field.
In der Nähe unserer Unterkunft "Baccoleno" suchte ich früh morgens einen geeigneten Standort für den Sonnenaufgang und landete mitten in einem frisch gepflügten Acker.

I was surprised to see this mural in Crete because it reminded me of more indigenous designs from humans I've seen coming from other areas of the world besides Greece. If anyone Greek knows more about it, please let me know! Also, I had forgotten to bring cat treats on this walk and so I wasn't able to feed this little kitten and I felt very sad about it and hated my brain for forgetting.

Looking up within Samariá Gorge.
The Samariá Gorge is an impressive gorge in the southwest of the island of Crete (Greece). It is a major tourist attraction of the island and even in October you will find a lot of people hiking through this impressive gorge.

Abandoned Caravan, Near Chrysoskalitissa Monastery, Crete
Something a little different from me for you all. Last December, I spent eighteen days touring around Crete discovering new locations and enjoying life in the sun over the Christmas period.
After having visited the Chrysoskalitissa Monastery at sunset one day, I was driving out of the area when I drove past this abandoned caravan. Immediately my interest was piqued.
So I pulled over and spent thirty minutes photographing this lovely old caravan post-sunset as the colour in the sky glowed beautiful shades of purple, yellow and orange.
I used my head torch to subtly light paint the caravan. I really like the resultant image. What are your thoughts?
