Deloris Mount of Crenshaw County received third place in the hand-stitched quilt contest at the Alabama Farmers Federation’s 46th Commodity Producers Conference in Montgomery Aug. 4. She won $75, courtesy of the Federation’s Women’s Leadership Division.
This picture is actually a by-product of the final project we did for the 'Artists and Architects in Residence' program at the MAKCenter, Los Angeles from October 2006 till March 2007. The exhibition took place from March 7th till March 11th 2007. Check out our project.
And so it begins... These 1986 BMX tire tracks will be the first of many BMX tracks I will see until I reach the end of Crenshaw Blvd. The South Bay portion of Crenshaw is dominated by BMX bicycles more than any other type of bike.

Come Sunday the sign disappears..... well I guess they didn't mean it.
Returning to the Crenshaw Corridor site after a few months, the only notable change is the start of the bridge that will carry the tracks above Imperial Highway and below I-105 (center distance).
At left is a covered pile of construction material and some of the columns that will support the elevated connection to the existing Green Line stubs. At right is the underside of one of the stubs and the blocked off entrance to the parking lot.
