Thought very much as creatures of stealth and the night I felt I wanted to give this photograph of my regular garden fox a bit of a dark and mysterious feel.

You don't want to step on one of these. They are covered in venom-filled nematocysts used to paralyze and kill fish and other small creatures. For humans, a man-of-war sting is excruciatingly painful, but rarely deadly.
De Havilland DH100 "Vampire" at EAA Airventure this year. The Vampire was a British jet fighter that also saw service in a multitude of other countries. It first entered service in 1946, only months after the end of WWII. I think this particular airplane is flying with Swiss livery.
No idea what the story is behind this thing, but it sure makes a change from the normal high street furniture.

A piece of driftwood that has a lot of faces in it depending which side you look. Seven centimetres from eye to end of snout.
Adorably Fairy-like creatures !! The pale shades of these darlings , with their tiny raindrops -- even with no sun (!)-- fill my being with awe and admiration for all His Plant-Life Kingdom!!

Sculptor Long Ly is originally from Saigon, Vietnam. “I lived happily with my family in Saigon until 1978 when we escaped the communist regime at aged only 8 years old. Along with my family we left for an unknown future on a rickety fishing boat.”
He then settled in The UK and completed his schooling. Long went on to a variety of jobs but always had art as his passion. Today he has become a unique artist with one of a kind designs. His pieces are made from recycled metal, ranging from pots and pans to plumbing pipes and carpet dividers – his imagination shows no bounds. Daily items that you would not consider art at all have been turned in to stunning creations with Long’s ingenuity and skill.

We didn't see too much of WInston while Harry was hanging around.
We observed Harry running WInston out of the garage on several occasions, and although I'd see Winston occasionally, he was staying on the fringes and was trying to keep a pretty low profile.
Now that Harry's gone, Winston has re-established himself in our garage, and hasn't missed a meal.
He seems more wary than ever these days.
When I first came across this on a morning walk, I was sure it was some kind of creature's claw or foot. Now that I go to post this, I see the creature itself in profile. It's ugly & is going to devour that bit of green by the dried leaf!
