At Beyond, we believe that the key to success of Generation Z in the 21st century is a hacker mindset. Imagination, curiosity, determination, self organised learning and the courage to fail and experiment are the traits that will help prepare this next generation for the unknown ahead.
OUR MISSION IS TO HELP TEENS FIND CONFIDENCE IN THEIR CREATIVITY AND BECOME AGENTS OF CHANGE.
Forget Everything You Learned About Millennials. Meet Generation Hack.
Generation Hack is different from the Millennial generation. They are the opposites or extreme versions of Millennials. They wish their hobby would turn into a full-time job. They are mature and in control. They would rather save money than spend it. They are determined to “make a difference” and “make an impact.” Social entrepreneurship is one of the most popular career choices for them, as they intend to change the world.
My second effort. Lately, I love to freehand letters with just scraps of paper or cardboard and a nice sharp pair of paper snips. I've also tried to recycle and use scraps and bits. I started saving 'stuff' to use on my weekly list challenge. I have found so much cardboard and chipboard in the way of boxes and packaging, both plain and beautifully embellished. My storage space for these goodies is overflowing.
The base of this piece is the cardboard backing from Prima embroidered pieces. Most of the letters are cut from patterned paper, but some are from other sources. The 'E' was cut from a USPS flyer and the 'A' from a woodgrain finished Kleenex box. The label shaped piece was also a scrap saved from an earlier project. Inked the edges and used a TH mini attacher to attach a piece of ropey trim for hanging.
Also inked all edges cuz I just have to!
Translators don’t just transfer words between different languages it’s not. Translation is the way a translator has negotiated a meaning of a text and then put it into a different language. translators have to be able to cover themselves in 2 cultures, 2 languages ways of thought. It needs to a deep understanding of the source language and the language which it is to be translated into. For more information visit: goo.gl/ePKSQa
I saw photos of a similar wreath a knitter on Ravelry made and I fell in love with it. I got the idea that it would make a great holiday gift for the ladies at my knitting store so Rob and I sat down and figured out how to make them. (Of course I also made one for myself!)

The charger I have in here is a Qi charger from Anker. It is rather slim (about the height of a standard thick Lego brick), rather cheap, and works rather well for phones and other small devices.
I've used a fairly lengthy micro-USB cable to make sure I have enough length. This cable happens to be one that came with a mouse of mine for charging, so it can't be used for data. That's fine, you can't use data through wireless induction chargers anyway.

I created this in a class on how to do stump work. This is a scan of the finished piece. The image is life size. The acorns are 1 cm high. It took a week to complete, as the acorns, acorn leaf and the wings of the butterfly are all free standing. The tuft of the thistle also stands up from the background. I love doing this project.

ABOUT
Notice to the far left that the signs say, "Hazard, do not enter!" When it comes to creativity, one wants to capture a photo in which nobody else has. In that case, how many people would jump over that blockade in order to get a couple snapshots out of the ordinary? How many people would risk walking on a dock where the wood under your feet would snap at any second from your first step? How far would you go for your creativity? Is this your pathway to fame or danger?

Wow so this is my latest image as of the date 31/3/10.
My aim was to use as much texture as I could giving a gritty dirty feeling and yet have some sort of rebellious element to the image.
