Graduate students display their research at the Graduate Research and Creativity Showcase. November 9, 2017
My Feedback:
it was quite challenging to fulfill the task within the week.
Sometimes I went out in order to do so, sometimes one of my current week's photos happened to fit. Interesting: usually the latter had the better outcome. By the end of the year I was very busy with my company, so I did as many others did: posting photos with a task of weeks before...
* favourite tasks: photography- week 15 and photo-wisdom - week 20
* my favourite pictures: week 13, 15, 33, 41 and 46
* favourite for others: two on explore week 13 and 19, four on Interestingness: 19,13, 6and 5

Creativity + Conflict Resolution: A Leadership Development Workshop with Guila Clara Kessous. At the Boston University Castle. Thursday, April 28, 2016.
This is my 2nd project for my creativity definition. This is the first time in a long time (decades?) that I used something other than my camera & photoshop to create "art"....it was fun! I used the cheap watercolor set & brushes that Kal suggested & painted it on kraft paper. I'll display it next to my computer as a reminder that's it's ok to "get my hands dirty" every now & then.

Taken in the Exhibition
Fashioning Masculinities: The Art of Menswear
(March 2022 to November 2022)
At a moment of unprecedented creativity in men's fashion and reflection on gender, this exhibition explored how designers, tailors and artists – and their clients and sitters – have constructed and performed masculinity, and unpicked it at the seams.
...The exhibition showcases the variety of possible masculinities across the centuries from the Renaissance to the global contemporary: from looks by Gucci, Harris Reed, Grace Wales Bonner and Raf Simons, to paintings by Sofonisba Anguissola and Joshua Reynolds, contemporary artworks by David Hockney and Omar Victor Diop, to an extract from an all-male dance performance by Matthew Bourne's New Adventures.
The exhibition presents around 100 looks alongside 100 artworks, displayed thematically across three galleries, Undressed, Overdressed, and Redressed.
The second gallery, Overdressed, explores the elite masculine wardrobe, epitomised by oversized silhouettes, lavish materials like silks and velvet in daring colours, and symbolic patterns to express status, wealth and individuality. On display will be armoured breastplates, silky smoking suits, makeup and shaving equipment, sweeping capes, ribbons and lace, including Grinling Gibbons' wooden carving imitating a Venetian needlepoint lace cravat. Through the lens of contemporary fashion designers including Rahemur Rahman and Kim Jones, Overdressed will show how historic ideas begin to shift, with a full rainbow of masculine outfits on display.

At a little-used bike parking area on the University of Canberra, this repair stand, equipped with top-class Park Tool equipment stands idle. A great piece of design that I think may rarely be used.

Ideas are funny things. You can spend weeks in search of one, only to find that nothing is forthcoming...yet often when you stop looking, an idea will find its way into your mind and settle there. This in itself is a problem because ideas have a habit of hankering down in the safety of your head where they cannot be questioned or ridiculed...but they also can't develop into realities . For this reason most ideas are doomed to remain just that: ideas. But if you can coax them out and breath life into them who knows what they could become?

Creative activity could be described as a type of learning process where teacher and pupil are located in the same individual.
