Some New Pics AA7

You know ... creativity ... or whatever.

This was an arch at a NY Public Library exhibition. I loved the perspective of it.

See more on my blog at joshhudnall.com

i post a lot of my finished "creations", so i thought for this week's theme, i'd post something that shows a few basic sewing materials--the basis for most sewing projects! :)

creativity starts here, for me.

I think the PoIC system is enough stable now.

So I bought a lot of index cards this time.

This is also an experiment to see what happen, what I see, if I fill all of them. :)

Innovation and creativity are different, but both play a huge role in developing successful products and businesses.

This is inspired from the movie Hot Shots 2. If you've seen it you probably have an idea about this. I'm really short on creativity these days. Probably the only reason I don't want to start a 365 is because I don't want to upload crappy pictures just for the sake of it... Scratch that.. I'm lazy.

I have one more picture like this but I like it as much as this one, so I'll post it later sometime today if you guys like this...

By the way, View This On Black... You can find some real details on the mirror that I stuck this note to.

May the Lord bless you on the occasion of Himmelfahrt/Ascension

Well stickers are sticky, aren't they? I found some I forgot I had...

its my little Cat .. has the age of just 25 days !

This is what my last year's Creativity Chart looks like.

I made a new one for this year, since it's been really nice to track my doings and I want to keep on doing it. :)

(Blogged, a link to which you can find in my profile.)

I received three 5X7s in the mail last week from Tausha who is known as moucri on Flickr. In addition to adding to the decor of our home, they will serve as good example to Owen as he learns to appreciate creativity. The packaging alone is a good example of Tausha's talent. The envelope and folder containing the prints were emblazoned with her trademark shoes.

Somedays I can't motivate my self to create. That's why you have friends who force you to drink a lot of coffee and come up with ideas.

photos taken and manipulated wholly on the iPhone. mental block! Unfortunately facegoo only saves a screenshot so you lose resolution but you get the idea for some further concepts.

I finally finished and framed my Cross Stitch sampler. This is a Just Nan pattern called "Creativity," which I started in 2004 and finished 2008. It features tiny beads, dragonfly charms and lots of different stitches. "In the midst of life's activity / Find some time for creativity."

Sentence about the importance of being able to overcome failure.

Creativity graph. The happier you are, the less creative you become. Or so I think..

I adopt simple chronological accumulation of index cards in the PoIC system. I have been thinking why it works well, and not classification. Here is a plausible answer.

Classification is, in different expression, to find a pattern.

- To find pattern, we need quantity (e.g. sufficient number of index cards).

- To make quantity, we need some time.

It is impossible to find a pattern in initial stage for anybody. We don't know what is exact pattern. We can't see it. Because what we are trying is to create something "new". This is why classification become bottle neck in personal productivity.

What is more efficient is to accumulate quantity in chronological order anyway. And later, we see the pattern. Quality or quantity? We need both. What is creativity? To make something new, unknown, unclassified.

# Then why classification works well in library and museum? Because they have enough quantity from the beginning.
