This is the rune for creativity... which I've been struggling with. Hoping for a spark from this sparkly rune.

This is what my last year's Creativity Chart looks like.
I made a new one for this year, since it's been really nice to track my doings and I want to keep on doing it. :)

I received three 5X7s in the mail last week from Tausha who is known as moucri on Flickr. In addition to adding to the decor of our home, they will serve as good example to Owen as he learns to appreciate creativity. The packaging alone is a good example of Tausha's talent. The envelope and folder containing the prints were emblazoned with her trademark shoes.
photos taken and manipulated wholly on the iPhone. mental block! Unfortunately facegoo only saves a screenshot so you lose resolution but you get the idea for some further concepts.
Somedays I can't motivate my self to create. That's why you have friends who force you to drink a lot of coffee and come up with ideas.
I finally finished and framed my Cross Stitch sampler. This is a Just Nan pattern called "Creativity," which I started in 2004 and finished 2008. It features tiny beads, dragonfly charms and lots of different stitches. "In the midst of life's activity / Find some time for creativity."
I adopt simple chronological accumulation of index cards in the PoIC system. I have been thinking why it works well, and not classification. Here is a plausible answer.
Classification is, in different expression, to find a pattern.
- To find pattern, we need quantity (e.g. sufficient number of index cards).
- To make quantity, we need some time.
It is impossible to find a pattern in initial stage for anybody. We don't know what is exact pattern. We can't see it. Because what we are trying is to create something "new". This is why classification become bottle neck in personal productivity.
What is more efficient is to accumulate quantity in chronological order anyway. And later, we see the pattern. Quality or quantity? We need both. What is creativity? To make something new, unknown, unclassified.
# Then why classification works well in library and museum? Because they have enough quantity from the beginning.

Creativity - being creative and imaginative in their thinking and in their approach to problems and dilemmas
"I am CREATIVE. I use my imagination in all sorts of situations."
"Every thing is raw material. Everything is relevant. Everything is usable. Everything feeds into my creativity. But without proper preparation, I cannot see it, retain it, and use it." --- Twyla Tharp
"Creativity is the ability to change
something ordinary into something special."

" to live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. "
i think this quote is so damn true because some people aren't as creative as other. some people are creative with what they wear, what they draw, what they sing, who they are, etc. i grew up learning music and arts with a passion and my family doesn't understand my passion for them. i personaly think i'm creative and try to be creative but not a lot of people can understand my creativeness. so if we fear of being misunderstood, how are we going to show our creativeness? look at lady gaga's old picture. look how "normal" she was. i think inside of her, there was a "monster" hiding inside of her to be awaken and look at her now. a millionaire whom everyone knows and is praised. i wanna be someone who is creative and is misunderstood because that states the fact that people are actually caring to show you their feelings and opinions about what you created so now, don't be afraid. just show your creative side (:
